I loved this episode. I really don't think you have to apologize every time you forget to finish something. We all have different building styles and inspiration to get stuff done. So far, when you complete something it looks great, so stop stressing about it so much, lol. I absolutely LOVE the "Adventure Africa" banners. But, you do know that now they make the other ones just look plain, lol. I have one critique. The Gorillas building, it NEEDS some sort of signage before you enter it. It just looks plain and uninspiring from the front. Initially you said you were gonna build a statue in the garden, and I like that idea. It doesn't have to be huge, but just something to let your visitors know what the are about to enter into.
You'll learn it's just in my nature to be apologetic about things like that as I'm a bit of a perfectionist haha. Although you're well behind on the series it's been nice to read your comments as theres always scope to go back and improve upon things :)
@@DanXG I get you as I am the same way when it comes to certain things. I'm gonna say something to you I picked up from another UA-camr I follow. "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good" Its something I am working on myself, but its hard to do at times. I appreciate the fact that you value my comments(even though they are really really late to the party)
Just found your channel and I appreciate your awesome videos. I’ve looked at a couple of he tutorials as well, very helpful. Do you ever play franchise? It’s my default, and I try to go detailed and beautiful like you’ve done, but I’m not sure if franchise is as viable. I am tempted to do a sandbox when I see this kind of thing though, but I always find myself shelving and then discarding those zoos not sure why, maybe impatience, or possibly I prefer slightly more management. Anyway, well done, and thanks, very inspiring.
I've never done a franchise zoo as a series but do play it in my spare time. It's hard to go as detailed as this because you're always thinking about the money but what I would say is that you can find a nice balance by turning the money on in Sandbox and giving yourself a healthy amount to get the zoo up and running, it's something I've done before.
Stumbling across your channel and seeing Tropical Wings was quite funny as someone else from Chelmo, you should definitely handle the relaunch! Loving it so far mate
I love this so much! Without a doubt one of the best builds I’ve ever seen on PZ. The primate house is unbelievable. I particularly love the gorilla viewing and the cubby hole windows. I want to visit myself!
I have a question about your buildings. Where do you find your inspiration? Do you copy designs from different real world buildings? Or do you just kinda have an eye for architecture and are able to come up with these super realistic designs on your own? Also backstage areas. Do you just know how they look or are there different references you use to come up with a design and come up with the layout? I'm genuinely curious because I'm someone that really struggles to create buildings and architecture. Most of my Habitats are very detailed but my buildings always end up looking very bland usually square in shape and unrealistic compared to my Habitats. And I'm never really happy with how my backstage looks. And tips or tricks would be great and maybe this could also be a future video idea!
It's honestly a bit of both. It always helps to look at stuff in the real world, especially when going for a realistic look. There's so many good pictures online of stuff in zoos and having them on a second screen while building helps massively. I also pull stuff from buildings in general, I have a love for architecture and like seeing how far I can take it to fit it in to some of the builds. My advice to you is to honestly just look at loads of pictures of different build styles, both zoo and otherwise and see if you can maybe copy them in game. You'll learn what pieces work this way. Building with non grid pieces will give you more freedom too and might help you move away from building things that are a little square and boxy. Hope this helps :)

Just discovered your channel but I'm loving it!!! Keep up the good work. Greetings from Holland
Thank you so much!
Love this zoo! Wish I could visit it in real life.
How do you make the shops without walls?
You need to install a mod. You can find it on nexusmods.com, called boxless shops mod I believe.
@@DanXG Thanks
