sorry for the late reply but though he's on modern, he's not using the automatic combos. combo here is drive impact - assist heavy - cancel quarter circle back light (time for perfect) - quarter circle forward medium punch - forward down down forward heavy punch
I understand projectiles, but I’m not confused on DI, if he can react with super it means he could’ve also reacted with DI and got significantly more damage/oki
@@LucasJascheif I’m not mistaken (I’m new to SF games lol) but his meter is all gone so instead of countering his opponents DI with a DI his only option is to do a super in response.
@PeteyGoHam You may be new, but the logic is there. Modern controls make burn out less scary, since you can pretty much always punish DI and other setups as long as you have 1 bar of super.

interesting how he uses the supers and dps on reaction to punish moves like DI and projectiles. stuff like this is very hard to do on classic

@@LucasJasche He probably punished with the super to save drive gauge meter thats why.
