Well, that place is just amazing.
For Real!!! The scenery, the river itself- it's just incredible!!!!
I’m watching from the couch ducking those waves lol. Great job keeping that boat upright!
Ha, ha- it took me a couple of days to get used to it, but when I did it was a blast!! :-D Thanks, Sam!
Man you can see the blast you was having man. Those Rapids I know they got you pumped up. It got me pumped up just watch it. Everyday you was putting some miles in. I really enjoying this man. I've got to take my family there. I know all 6th of my boys will have a blast. Thank you for sharing your trip brother.
Thanks so much, Mack! I hope you and your fam get to paddle this river some day. It is fantastic!!
Beautiful River!!! Those are some pretty big wave trains though, awesome video brother!
Thank you very much, Billy!! It is a beautiful river. Those were the biggest waves I've had my canoe on...so far!! Lol!! 😅🛶
Lol Dan u Crack me up about the bluff making u hungry. It did look like a huge cookie to me. Maybe u was thinking hamburger.
Ha, ha- no, I was thinking cookie, too! :-D
Awesome video!! really enjoyed it!
Thank you very much, Brenda!! I appreciate it!!
Thanks! Yet again, some great scenery and fun! We are looking forward to your next installment, as we prepare for our run. Awesome! -AVA Ashley
I appreciate that, Ashley!! Y'all are going to love this river! Hopefully you'll have good flow- it can fluctuate. But the beauty is a constant!!
I'm seriously enjoying this trip. Those wave trains looked like awesome fun. This river has definitely moved up on my must do list. Scenery and campsites have been incredible.
Thanks so much, Anthony! It really is an amazing river and I highly recommend it! Those wave trains were a BLAST!! 😁🛶👍
@@SouthernPaddler best be getting ready for some Georgia wave trains 😆
I’m having fun going along! 😄
Thank you so much, Glenna! One more!! :-)
😁👍 have a buddy that flipped over on this river. Dumped his canoe. I'm a yaki guy mostly, not nearly as easy to flip. Great series brother, much appreciated too. Gettin pinned on fast water is serious business. Yaki fills up, they're hard to move ain't they😁. Nice day , great camp. God Bless
N Thanks
Bluff looks like a little debbie cake😂✌️
Lol- yes, yes and yes! On getting pinned, unpinning boats and the Little Debbie...lol!! It was such a fun trip! Thank you very much, Will!! Blessings, brother!!
Those looked like quite the waves there at times. You handled them like a champ! Another great one Dan. Looking forward to the rest of trip.
Thanks, Lashonda! Those waves were probably my favorite part!! :-)
Another good one, Dan! Makes me wanna load up and go! Those waves looked like they were a blast for a canoe!
Thanks so much, Brad! It took me a day or two to warm-up to the waves, but once comfortable it was a blast!!
What an awesome adventure, brother. The scenery looked amazing. I'm sure some of those rapids had your heart pumping. Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you very much, John!! Yes, those rapids definitely got the adrenaline flowing...lol!! But it was all a blast!!
Awesome trip! How long are your canoes?
Thank you, Spider Dan! My Old Town Saranac is 16ft. The green Mad River Canoe in the video was 16ft as well. The purple Old Town Next is a solo canoe and it is 13ft.
Great videos! How do you keep your feet dry/warm with all the water sloshing in?
Thanks so much, Matt! I wore neoprene boots. They let water in and keep most of it in. The water quickly warms to your body temp and they don't feel cold. I just finished another week long trip with the same type of shoes and never had cold feet even though the water was very cool because it's largely spring fed.
The waves on the river looked fun, was the water moving fairly fast or was it tiring trying to get that many miles in, in one day?
Those waves were a blast! So much fun! The water was moving good. We didn't have to really work hard for any miles. There were some slower spots, but we always had some current and most of the time had really good current.
Hey man, any chance you guys heard any turkeys on your trip? I'm heading out in a month to run this - planning to bring my shotgun along
I don't recall hearing turkeys, but there were TONS of vultures! We joked it could be called the "Buzzard National River"...lol.
What type of GPS was he using
That is a Garmin Etrex 20. It's fairly basic. You can load maps, but I mainly just use it to keep track of time, distance & speed.
I could do without the music, I’d rather hear the water crashing against the kayak and just the sounds of nature
Thanks, Danny! I've gotten that comment a few times recently. I'll try to work in more natural sound for sure!!
Nice trip……lost with the horrid music
Thanks- sorry about the music. But that river is amazing!! Hope to do it again!!
@@SouthernPaddler lol sound of the surroundings man…..that’s music.
@jefflanham1080 Lol- I agree. I'm working on a video for my 3-day trip on the Jacks Fork River in April. I'm thinking about foregoing music on that one. 👍
