Yeah I have a red Kraton EXB and I like the color, but the chassis only comes in blue right now so I thought the blue body would match the best. I like it a lot!
Scored the green Sledge from my LHS on Wednesday. A day early from street release. Ran the sledge today, stock steering Servo works great. And with (2) 3S batts this thing rips out of the box. Like yourself I have the Kraton 8S all stock. Between the 2, the Sledge just feels like a more solid car. On throttle this car pizzas and shreds all tires from a dig and at half throttle it just scoots. It really puts a smile on my face. Kraton 8S is good but it needs a motor/esc upgrade for sure like your exb to get that fun factor going.
For some unknown reason they haven't put that body mount system in any of their newer cars, they just use 4 clip tabs instead of that hook which looks vastly superior, faster to mount and much stronger.
That center brace is on the body so when the body gets if it lands on the roof instead of it smooching it all the way in them two little braces catch the t-bar

I like the Kraton EXB better if you like to put your own system in. But this is a fantastic ready to run option.
