I've used this service several times to travel from Surin to Pattaya and back again. It's well worth it. I can highly recommend it. The only down side is that there's only one night bus, and that arrives in Pattaya around 5.30 am. So it can make it difficult to check in sometimes.
Hi John. I agree with you about the early arrival. It''s not ideal as there's a long wait for your room if it's not ready. This time we needed to wiat until 2pm.ughhh. Last time we hit lucky and the hotel receptionist said we could check in earlier if we left a good review. We obviously said yes. ;-)
Thanks for this. How early in advance did you get your ticket? Did you purchase it at the terminal? And where's the drop-off in Bangkok? Their website doesn't seem to offer the Chiang Mai to Bangkok route lol..
We booked online one week in advance from 12go.asia. There are two options available: Nakornchai and Sombat Tour. Both companies are known for their good quality. You can choose to get off either at Morchit or at the bus company located outside Morchit bus station. We chose this option because it is next to the main road, and there are meter taxis waiting for you, making it less crowded.
Phuket doesn't have a train station. The nearest station is Surat thani, which is 4 hrs to Phuket by buses. Another option you can get green bus from chiangmai straight to Phuket, free meal (I guess), for the bus journey I prefer to book the tickets separately (CM-Bkk and Bkk-PKT. You can find the tickets from the link in this vdo description.
Oh it seems very comfy and very smart they don’t do that night stop… The downside for us is usually too many stops so you can’t get a good nights rest! We do love the luxury kind of buses that provide so much more comfort ❤️
I have to admit though, my legs were a little to long for the front seat so it wasn't ideal and getting through the aisle to the toilet was a squeeze. However overall I think it was good value for money and I'd do it again. ;-0
For one passenger, how many bags are you allowed to check with them? When I fly over from the U.S., I bring 2 checked bags and a carryon. In 2005, I tried to take a bus from Chiangmai to Bangkok with that many bags and they refused to check that many bags. Ever since, I either take the train, where I have no problem bringing that many bags, or I fly and pay the extra baggage charges. Thanks
The passengers are allowed to bring a maximum of 2 pieces of luggage per person with a total weight not exceeding 25 kilograms. If the luggage is oversized or exceeds the specified number or weight, the company will be required to collect additional charges according to the company's conditions due to limited storage space under the vehicle.
Ever time that I'm in Thailand, the local thais always tell me never to take these buses. I asked why they said you will get robbed. this is how it works. A guy gets on bus with a big suit case with a small Thai person inside the suit case. They know the schedule and how long it takes between towns. Once underway the guy riding as passenger text his buddy in the suitcase. He gets out of the suitcase and starts to go threw the suitcases in the luggage compartment. When he is done he zips himself back into the suitcase. The next stop his buddy the passenger gets out and reclaims his oversize suitcase, and off they go. You get to your destination and open your suitcase and find out you've been robbed. Good luck on getting your stuff back. Now do you see why the local thais will not take this bus. Stay off these kinds of buses or you will be sorry.
Thanks for sharing your story. Jerry is a local Thai and he has never heard of this. That's not to say there's no truth in it. I've used these buses several times and never experienced this. As for local Thais not taking these buses , that is definitely not true.
Go to the tourist places where a lot of the workers are from northern Thailand, they all told me this. They said much safer to take the train, which sucks. Just fly its cheap and much faster and much more pleasant. I was at a hotel in Pattaya and ran into a family were this happened to them. Those buses look nice I have seen many of them in Thailand, it will be a cold day in hell when i ride one of those buses. Its the perfect way to rob someone.
@@claudenewton8932 Each to their own I say. It wasn't about saving money for us. It was about trying out this option and sharing the information on our channel.
That bus is a joke with those narrow aisles. If you want the very best NCA bus you book their First Class ones. Less number of seats, more room and the price increase is well worth it.
You are by far giving the best information. 🎉thank you ❤
That's very kind of you to say. Thanks.

So beautiful bus
It sure is!
Thanks, great information given
You're welcome and thanks for watching.;-)
Very good price - given all that it includes with the trip. Looks quite comfortable.
For us the bus 24-30 seats is more comfortable, more seats than that quite a bit tight
Thank you thank you thank you.❤
You are so welcome
very helpful, cheers
Thank you
Looks like the inside of a plane.😊

Thanks. I can rule out taking the bus, then.

Better than the sleeper train you reckon?
Update: I cannot find this coach with this layout anywhere on their website! 🤔
I slept better on the bus.
We booked out tickets on the 12GoAsia website.

When the bus is so crowded, it’s not luxurious
I thought it was comfortable and spacious for a bus.
No thanks😊
;-)
1+2 style is better than this one
:-)

I agree, the old one 24 seats is better.
I was wondering how they fit 2 aisles and still 4 seats per row
