Just the scan was enough. It seems there were a couple corrupted files and Windows successfully fixed them. Thank you very much.

It's not fixed...still i m unable to open settings pls help me out
Nothing worked for me. At last i ran chk dsk and updated all apps in windows store and suddenly windows update was ready for restart. I did update and restart from power button and voila, settings, search, action centre everything started workinh again. I am still unsure if chkdsk played any role in it.

I had this same problem and NOTHING was working. To make matters worse, my Windows Powershell wasn't working either. After hours of frustration, I finally figured out a solution. I searched Windows Update Assistant on Google and downloaded the software. After it did it's thing, it restarted my pc and installed the necessary updates. It wasn't like the typical 2-3 minute windows update. This bad boy took about 45 minutes. So I'm not sure what all it was doing but.... IT WORKED! Settings and everything else is working great.
My problem was worst Windows 10 booted but it was limited to opening only one app and then stick there... so I was lucky I had a restore point 2 months ago and it worked...

Well for me it a success . For you information after finish what he doing you go to toolbars and find item like this R that have two leg . If you Don't understand there shutdown buttom right down there so you take from there and go upside and see buttom like human and it at very top and press that and change to new account that you have make like the video say ( it called i account settings) and after that just follow whatever you laptop instructions. Sorry for my bad english

the problem is i cant use my settings, i cant use my search bar and i cant fix either with out one or the other. idk wth happened but now i cant restore my computer cause i dont have the settings and i cant force anything cause i dont have the search bar and dont know where to find the command file to manually start it

@@_Rocxy I ended up just factory resetting the entire drive it was attacking. It was a virus, I lost so much work, art and music I had made, I was very sad. If it wasn't a virus then idk what it was but it happened after I had downloaded a mod pack for Minecraft. If you don't have the OS installation medium like I do cause I built my own computer I'd advice you get a professional unless you don't mind purchasing another operating system to get rid of it or whatever the problem is
If you can still open the start menu and access your apps list, scroll to the bottom and you can find the command prompt in the windows system folder!
so why is there an account named as youtube with admin power
it shows me access denied

Bro first open and then right click on command prompt in taskbar and more then options will see

Right click it, then right click the other cmd thats above pin to task bar. It will then ask if you want to run as admin

your account should have administrative privileges to run apps as administrator.
to do this you should change your account type from standard to administrator
