Finally an interviewer that asks Gary the question every body wants to know the answer of. "What diet do you follow Gary?" So many have interviewed this brilliant man about diet and have never asked this one simple very much related question. Thank you so much.
I reversed my type II diabetes and insulin resistance on a whole food plant based no sugar no oil no salt diet (WFPB-SOS), 30 min walks, fasting, taking the stairs and dumbbell workouts and lost 50 pounds. I got off all 8 prescription medications after atrial flutter and congestive heart failure caused by eating two salty gas station jumbo hotdogs when I was 61. Obviously I had issues from my fast food diet despite giving up Coke-A-Cola in 2011, fried food in 2015 and meat in 2020. Took me a few years tappering off meat and eggs to realize I needed to give it up completely. The book Mastering Diabetes by Cyrus Khambatta and Robbie Barbaro was recommended and it worked for me whenI wasn't binging on nuts.
As a type one diabetic, I'll answer the question to the best most useful development is by far the Continuous glucose moniter. With out it is like driving your car with a blindfold on. Very unsafe and impossible to do.
Gary Taubes is a writer/reporter, not a scientist, therefore stating that he has been debunked for “shoddy science” is a false statement. In my experience as a practicing physician, Gary Taubes is spot on correct with all of his books. Those criticizing Taubes are very likely the establishment folks wedded to the nutrition and diabetes treatments that have been failures for the past 100 years. Wouldn’t be surprised if Big Sugar and Big Pharma also play a role.
He doesn't do science, he reviews the science and points out the flaws in the studies. He's an investigative journalist. He has not been debunked. You are misinformed and don't actually take the time to learn.
@@SeanMontague007 This is a relevant watch, because Nina Teicholz (and to a degree Denise Minger) pillaged Gary Taubes’ ‘journalism’ to write their books. Teicholz is in the pay of Big Beef. ua-cam.com/video/OkqWdY5_2-8/v-deo.htmlsi=PpD7g0d536ObeSZf

If you want a more fulsome story about Gary’s diet and his history I suggest you read “A Case For Keto.”

You may consider researching the keto and carnivore diets.
