Dam, i was trying this while watching the demonstration. The uppercut feels so powerful now with the left to right (skater move) switch and pivot. THANK YOU!
Robert Liberty: thats not what Sylvie wants to do. That seems to be what other people want from her but she has a way different vision for herself right now.
I love your videos Silvie. You sound and look so smart yet you fight. A renaissance woman. Epitome of martial artist. I study Chinese system but in muai Thai that your teachers show I learn more about biomechanics than Chinese teachers.
good technique, but in my opinion always leaves a gap of 15 or 20 degrees free to cross a hand to the front laterally. you can see it in the first fight sugar leonard vs roberto duran. Roberto Durán knows how to open those types of attacks where that percentage of free angle remains
Chatchai was an incredibly skilled technician with superb balance. He laid the blueprint yrs earlier that Mayweather would use to outbox Pac Man. Does he teach Muay Thai or just boxing ??
Hey Sylvie, love your content! Just want to ask, is this an advanced technique for hooks and uppercuts? I’ve been training Muay Thai for 3 months now and have never been taught to wind it back like that. Isn’t their a risk of it being too telegraphed?
It would be very telegraphed, but i think they are doing the wind-up so she can get the weight transfer down. When you throw combinations, each punch is also a chambering of the next punch, so they're basically skipping the initial punch that starts the combination. She has another video on this same subject with Chatchai that is much longer and more in-depth as well.
So in order to help beginners understand whole mechanisms. Coach always teaches them full range of motion first so when fighters master the economy of movement, they can shorten it depend on situation. An example, I was taught to step aside and slip, when I get familiar with slip technique, I just sit down and slip no need to step to the side anymore
Hey, sorry you're disappointed. $5 is the suggested pledge and gets you the 15 most recent posts. 2 new sessions are added every month, which pushes the older sessions out of the tier. This session was posted 1.5 years ago and is available in the full archive.
@@8limbsUs thanks for answering; the whole archive? "perfecting hands with chatchai in 106minutes" isnt this video? Its clearly written in that video that i can watch all videos with that suggested pledge ( i get the sense of it now ) but it wasnt written like that and this video was the reason why i became a patron.. but much respect and thanks for what you are doing
@@JulianDreamsx if you message me on Patreon and restate your confusion - so I know who you are - I'll be glad to refund whatever pledge you did not intend to make. I'm not completely clear where the confusion arose. Just message me there and I can straighten it out.
