I like how you're doing all small projects to not get overwhelmed. I built a Van to live in full time with solar lithium batteries and DC heater and it can become Overwhelming at times keep up the good work and I look forward to more videos
Every time I watch, I am glad she got someone who can make her right again- and glad I passed on her- The one I did get has been two months of work so far, and many thousands of dollars, but not as much as you are having to do!
I liked this coach since it had the 455, an amazing frame, and the alcoa wheels. (Those things are big $) Do you have any videos of your coach? I imagine you are in the general
The upper dome lights come on by turning the headlight knob fully counter clockwise. They are not supposed to come on with the door switch... The door open light comes on when the key is on, or in acc... I have been getting all the warning lights in my 78 back in operation... I bought a delay relay for the one reminding me to turn the suspension to the travelling position, and installed that last night...
there will be carpet on the wood and a mattress on top of that. I am still not sure I will keep the onan...I will probably start on the generator within the next two weeks. Thanks for watching!
I would be concerned with the inverters location. I used to work on these generators and would insulate those compartments with Foil backed insulation to help with heat and sound. That compartment usually housed the generator battery. Tell me if I’m wrong that the heat will be hard on the inverter.
I am going to have the motorhome ready for memorial day. I have not touched the onan and plan to remove it and “store” my honda 3000 watt generator in its place. I am going to take the generator out of the motorhome to operate it so no heat problem there. I have a black plastic box with the back wall cut out I will slide under the inverter (it will surround it ) to protect it from water while traveling if it rains. Thank you for your comment, other people have said the same thing so I have devised these temporary “fixes” until I can re-engineer
@@ericschwelling906 used to work on Onan’s, Kohlers and Generacs. Loved Onans the best, can be rebuilt if needed. Some folks would run the generators with the slides out while camping because of the limited air flow in the coach. This was in Texas so we had high temps to deal with. Still one of the best generators out there.
@@katolight I absolutely intend to rebuild it, like most things in this camper one of the previous owners hacked up all the wiring so once we get back I can assess and repair. Thanks again

There are door pin switches that ground two independent wires if you want to make it turn on a done light as well.

For the generator area are you gonna put in some sound deadening material it would be good Idea
