I loved this stitch alot. Although I don't know how to knit I used Tunisian crochet to complete the stitches. The only thing was with Tunisian you can't do any even row stitches because there is no turning row so all I did was TKS2 TPS1 and when it was instructed to knit across I did the TRS to get that garter stitch look. Thanks for sharing ! It came out so well☺️
You are an amazing instructor Kristen. I have learn so many stitches from you. I didn't know how much you could do with knit and purl. Still waiting for you to teach me how to make a hat lol
Hey kristen! You know what? I have just completed a 2 year baby sweater. I have used many of your techniques to create the work. And I really appreciate the stretchy bind off technique. Again, thanks!😄
Hey studio Knit um you know that you made the pique Rib stitch well I made the double pique rib stitch because I did not do it right but it looks cool and I think you should try making it
Thank you for all the great patterns you have; I would love for you, if you have the time; to have a video about cables, how to do it because this has been the hardest thing for me to learn. It will be great to have something about cables, they are beautiful but I believe very hard to make. Thank you and keep up the good job!!!!
Thank you for the reply regarding the green yarn. I would love to make some washcloths as gifts. How many stitches would I cast on, and how many rows? Again, thank you in advance. Char
I was wondering what this stitch would be used for besides a dishcloth. Looks rather stiff. But "stiff" may be a relative term when talking about yarn.
@@carolj2013 Hi, Carol! Maybe it looks stiff on camera, but it's just knit and purls, so it's not a tight weave. Try it out! I think it would be great for scarves, blankets, pillows... pretty much anything!
Hello from Manitoba! Question, I am looking at teaching myself to knit, I have some of the basics down but I am looking at making a bunch of squares for practise and then sewing them together to make a blanket for my son. What videos of yours would you reccomend to help? Thanks in advance!
I'm dying to try out these patterns, but whenever I try to mix purls and knits in one row my whole project gets real messy real fast. Not sure what I'm doing wrong! I use 10mm needless and chunky yarn - does this effect patterns?
Chloe B the size of yarn and need Es will only change the size of project not affecting the pattern. Check out studio knits basic knit video. There are also other beginner videos. Sometimes I have to view several people showing different way but doing same thing to catch what i am missing. One thing to remember is knit always has yarn behind the right needle and you insert needle into bottom of stitch on left needle. To purl the yarn is in front of right needle and you insert yarn into top of stitch on left needle . I think I wrote that correctly. Keep trying and viewing. Also knit shops are very happy to help, so take your project to the nearest one and ask away. You might make a new friend.
Have you ever knitted the socks that have a big toe separated from the rest. Everything I've found is in India...language. Please and thank you...Lynn Weasenforth
Hi, Michelle! My chart should help with that! www.studioknitsf.com/pique-rib-knit/ Rows 1, 2, and 3: * K2, P1 *, K2 (Repeat pattern between the * * asterisks to the last 2 stitches.) Row 4: Purl All
Love this pattern! So easy but looks amazing!
Glad you like it!

Very nice design.
I used it for a scarf and looks fantastic in no 5 needles

Thank you. Nice easy instruction for this beginner knitter.
I made this in a nice Italian merino wool, and it turned out beautifully

Love this, great instructions. Could you share what yarn is the one in green. Thank you in advance.
Hi, Charlene! Yes! It's Caron x Pantone in the color "Lapis." The yarn is found at Michaels and Yarnspirations. Love the colors of this new yarn!
Thank you for the reply regarding the green yarn. I would love to make some washcloths as gifts. How many stitches would I cast on, and how many rows? Again, thank you in advance. Char
Lovely stitch. This may sound crazy but could I use this as a dishcloth pattern?
I was wondering the same thing.
Great idea! I suggest blocking it first, so it has nice shape to it. Happy knitting to you!

how would you do this in the round
Hi, Michelle! My chart should help with that! www.studioknitsf.com/pique-rib-knit/
Rows 1, 2, and 3: * K2, P1 *, K2 (Repeat pattern between the * * asterisks to the last 2 stitches.)
Row 4: Purl All
What am I reading wrong? The chart appears to be k2, P1 for the first 3 rows if the pattern. Help?
My video on how to read charts will help! 💖 ua-cam.com/video/56xhtApuEZo/v-deo.html
