Motor entsprechend der Betriebsanleitung einlaufen lassen:
Motor starten und Düsennadel eine halbe Umdrehung von der Position mit der höchsten Drehzahl öffnen. Motor mit dieser Einstellung laufen lassen, bis der Tank leer ist.
Break in the engine according to the operating instructions:
Start the engine and open the high-speed needle half a turn from the position with the highest speed. Let the engine run at this setting until the tank is empty.

A chicjen stick for a ything kess than a .60 is quite frankly laughable

At our airfield, a .15 size engine completely cut off someone's fingertip and fingernail during a hand engine start. Even when starting small engines with a leather glove, there is still a risk of injury. The chicken stick doesn't bother me....

Having used engines since the age of five, I have never needed one. A total lack of concentration is the reason fingers fly off. I have seen it many times over the decades.

@@Burnersforvanlife Yes, a lack of concentration is usually the cause of injuries. Injuries caused by propellers on the airfield usually occur when the person starting the engine is distracted by someone or something.
