Tsunami airwave elite 9’6” with saragosa 6k and 30 lbs power pro braid-fg knot - 40 lbs fluorocarbon. Give braid another chance. Just have to spool it on as tight as possible and you shouldn’t have any issues. Casting braid is amazing once u get use to it 🤙

Nice one!! How you setup the lure? You tie the fluorocarbon directly to the mw?

I tie the fluoro to a barrel swivel. Then the barrel swivel to the split ring on the lure. Thanks for watching 🤙

@@cyfishkauai9380 Thanks! Do you have any tips on how to retrieve the lure? Any specific kine action or specific speed? I get one 1 oz and a 1.5 oz mw.

@@lalingboytic5611 Depends on the water depth. This spot was shallow with white wash so i do a fast retrieve and let it splash on the surface to trigger a reaction bite. If its deep i do the same but sometimes i let it sink a little and then retrieve with different speeds. But i always do a pretty fast retrieve with MW lures cause it swims nice

I am there for the next week and was wondering if most of the time it’s tiny papio or if you often catch them that size?

Mostly small guys. It’s tough if u only have one week. I use to go every weekend and sometimes I would catch two weeks in a row. Other times I won’t catch a good size one for 6 months. It’s hard to say. The small guys r pretty consistent tho. I just put my time in and wish for the best . Just have to enjoy every session regardless if u catch or not 🤙

Thanks for watching bra! I use to kayak out but now just walk um. One time I seen a huge omilu just cruzing in a little pocket as I was walking out so now I cast in all the little pockets before I get to the ledge just encase. Fun spot for sure
