You can eliminate musty smell by using a about half cup of white vinegar when you wash the clothes. I love the wooden album it's "super cool" and "super neat"! BTW I'm 68 and I say the same when I see something "super neat" 😊😊

I love the vintage costumes! The one you called a bodice, I think is a skirt with a drawstring waist. The bunny costume doesn't look like it was ever worn, and all the decorations, awesome finds. Last but not least, thank you for being who you are, we all use different phrases and pronunciations based on our where we live and where we have been, continue to be you.
Linda, I am with you on the skirt. I had a costume very similar as a child (late 60's) and it had the drawstring waist so as to fit many sizes.

Renee from Texas here. I am a former journalist, have taught all levels of writing, and now edit and proof read for authors. I think it is adorable how you word your excitement. You keep on using the wordage that is natural to you. That includes “super,” “oh my gosh,” and leaving the t sound out of your words.
Suggestion: do videos on your holiday decor clean out. Some viewers may be interested in purchasing the ones that you decide to sell.

Each photo, book or letter you acquire saves it the indignity of being ripped, buried or burned as waste. You return it’s richness and beauty and make it available to those who don’t have the option of treasure hunting on roadsides, yard sales, or flea markets. I'm all too aware, thanks to editing, that my favorite words to use include the following: super, interesting, neat, great, interesting, interesting, interesting... haha. The things that one picks up when they listen to their own voice in conversation day after day!
@@PaperandMoose A class full of teenagers will rapidly inform you of your every habit, especially grammar mistakes! I used to invite them to diagram said sentence to prove it. Great English fun for all. If they were right, and they usually were, they got a check plus for class participation. Double win.
It is easy to be negative when you’re faceless and anonymous. You are such a kind, gentle, respectful and lovely soul. ( Super cute too) Don’t change your ways because of few negative comments. Your loyal fans love you and your buttons. I don’t always understand the items that catch your eye but then I see your excitement and isn’t that what it is all about? When I look around at my eclectic collections, I wonder... would anyone else understand why those items brought me joy? I appreciate that you save, sell and share vintage goods. Maybe it isn’t supposed to be about “getting rich” but being enriched by things that bring joy and sweet memories.
I think it's great that we all aren't into the same items. When I am able/have the time, I do watch some other resellers on UA-cam and see all of their knowledge and their flips. Just like how I boggle some minds with what I like to buy/resell, my mind is boggled too when I see the flips of other resellers, as I would never think to pick up certain items/know their worth.
That's what makes UA-cam great - everyone can watch what they enjoy or perhaps just catch snippets of other videos that slightly peak their interest.

I can only speak for myself. I was not bored for one second. You got some great costumes. They were probably my era. I remember wearing those type of costumes as young girl. The box of cards were lovely. I can imagine using them in my Christmas junk journal. We have not had flea markets in my area. But we never get this much vintage items like you do.
Wow , that was an amazing find ! Makes me wish I had all the old cardboard Halloween decorations from when our kids were small ! But I really used them until they were just worn out ! What a treasure and so fun to watch you go through !! So happy for you !!
Great finds! The scarecrow things remind me of our youngest daughter - when she was little all she wanted for Halloween was us to make her into a SQUARE-crow!

Well I must be one of Pouty Patti's oldies because I think this is some of the best stuff you have ever found Renee. My favourite was the small window that opened up to have angels inside. Renee, if the picture in the photo album is a military base in the Philippines it would either be Clark Air Base but since you mentioned one picture said Manila it would most likely be Subic Bay Naval Base. I grew up in the Philippines at Clark Air Base during Viet Nam and visited friends at Subic Bay.

We live in such a disposable society. Out with the old, in with the new. Call me sentimental, but I have never related to that. To watch this vlog with all these vintage decorations brings back great memories of being in grade school and having our classroom lovingly decorated by the teacher for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc. THe old Halloween costumes remind me of going back and forth with my Mom about “what I wanted to be.” I love being sentimental and I think Renee does too.
My mom still has all of my elementary school holiday construction paper decorations that we made every year in school. I think my favorite was a Santa face made out of pantyhose and a wire hanger!

Thank you for appreciating the items as you do. I am old enough to remember a good deal of them when they were new. I've been a little sad thinking that the times we enjoyed back then will most likely never come back around again. I'm not speaking of material things, but the wonderful parties and trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. Just think about how many people out there will never experience receiving a hand written letter in the mail. We didn't have as many modern conveniences, but we also didn't have some of the terrible things we now have to worry about. Wow - I've become one of those old people remembering "the good ole days". Sneaked up on me when I wasn't looking - oh boy.

The cardboard scenes and characters were always a feature I. My elementary classrooms. Halloween and Christmas are also my two favorite holidays.

The odd size socks are great for people with polio because most of the time 1 foot is larger than the other and I think they have a program for shoes so people don't have to buy 2 pairs, they have a sharing program at least they used to. My stepmother had polio and always complained that she had to buy 2 boxes of shoes just to get the right size for both feet. She was an amazing lady.
I had another viewer some time back also comment about a relative that had polio and their shoe buying issues. It would be interesting to see if I could find any old advertisements for the shoe sharing program. Makes perfect sense, that's for sure!
From now on when you go to sales and you find a box you want to look at. Get down on your knees and position your whole body over the box with a flashlight so you can see what is in it and no one can come and grab stuff out of it until you are through. If they say they want to look also tell them I will be through in a minute. Do not let them scare you, you waited for this sale and they probably just got there and want to get out as fast as they can. They can wait. If the box is on the table pick it up and put it on the ground and cover it with your body then when you are through put the box back on the table. Or pick up the whole box like you are going to buy the whole box and go somewhere in that area that there are very few people and look to your hearts content. You are amazing keep on going.

Renee, the Dennison, Eurika and some Hallmark were all brands that made classroom decor. Each pack would be theme based with the designs in several sizes to be used around the classroom and hallways. They often have their item number printed on the bottom. The single-sided die it’s are quite old. Many of these companies still exist!
I've come across many Dennison items (both at the flea market and in my trash picks). That company is on my list of things to researchj!

I have a similar vintage large pumpkin sign from 1960s that my mom used to put up every year. I framed it!! I take it out at Halloween and hang it in my foyer. I used pages from a old mystery novel with a few illustrations decoupaged behind it!! I treasure it so much. Just a good way to keep them and enjoy them.

Looks like tote man surprised everyone. He must have an overstock connection, and some were probably irregulars he was unloading... but I am sure many got some use out of them since it was a cheap deal. :)

My knit cap? Not a thrift find, a Christmas present. Like my socks, I'm a little picky when it comes to the caps. I have 3 I believe, but my green cap is my favorite.

I'll be 62 on Christmas Eve this year and I still say cool, neat-o, wow, and even groovy once in awhile. There is NO RULE anywhere that says one must change the way they speak at a certain age! The Sopranos... first started watching them on Hulu during the quarantine. Then Hulu took them off but they were available on Amazon.... then Amazon took them off! I think HBO has the series, but I'm determined to find the DVDs at the thrift or flea market so I don't have to pay for an HBO subscription. I was in the middle of Season 3, so I have so much left to watch!

The tree skirt may have been for the center of a round table like a table runner for rectangle tables. What a great way to end the flea market season. Come south and check out the markets in sunnier weather.
