The groaning of the steel makes it so frightening and that’s exactly how I picture it sounding like as the great vessel slowly but surely breaks apart and goes to its watery grave 2 miles beneath the ocean.
What would make those sounds all the more horrific would be the way you would physically feel them, starting with your feet, then up through your entire body as they surrounded you. It’s the ship herself telling you that the forces pulling her down are so immense, there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it in any way, shape, or form.

Junior assistant second engineer Herbert Harvey Likely also perished after rushing in to save Shepherd. Some Regard senior assistant second Engineer Bertie Wilson as to have also died with Harvey and shepherd. This is mostly because he was in the same area as those two and Barrett and Was not mentioned to have escaped alongside Barrett, His lack of mention after this vent could also denote his death but at the same time We really hear Little to nothing from any Engineers. It is also likely that a few engineers, no more than three or four in my mind Did stay below Till the very end led by Bell, But that is just speculation, So what do we know of the other engineers? First off We hear absolutely nothing from or about the Ships Deck engineers. It’s likely that the pair Simply observed the entire sinking from a distance. The ships two Boilermakers Have a far more interesting story. Both men Senior boilermaker George Chisnall and his Junior Hugh Fitzpatrick Were both recovered by MB. Both men were found relatively close together which is a clear sign they likely went into the water together. Being boilermakers they would have been on “as needed” work and would not have kept a watch. Because we found them it can be assumed they surfaced on the port side and much like the deck engineers observed the sinking from a distance. However the argument can be made that both men assisted the engineers for a while since they donned Boiler suits, But a case can also be made that since there was an accident the men simply put on “work clothes”. So what of the other Engineers? At about 1:20-1:30 an order was given likely by Bell To “abandon ship and head up top” which was relayed by the Senior Second Engineer Mr Farquharson. He and Junior sixth engineer William McReynolds ( the only other identified man) and a party of 40-50 engineers and firemen had reached the top by 1:30-1:35, several firemen testified that most engineering staff were above deck by then. It’s in my opinion that another group surfaced sometime later led by someone like Hosking since Farquharsons party only held eight engineers. The big Question Mark is chief Bell himself. The two stories about him most heard are the ones about him refusing a spot on a raft and one about him walking down the deck with a plank under his arm. Personally I don’t Buy either, The plank story sounds strange and like someone with no naval knowledge was trying to infer that Bell was going to fix a leak with a plank, However the man who told it was a trimmer which would make you think he knew what he was talking about. However Dillon was off the ship at this time and only saw bell from a distance on the promenade deck which is of course enclosed. while the Raft story I was able to find came from a write up in the 1950’s. Now we are left with the Electricians, Greaser Alfred white was sent up the fourth funnel by Sloan and ordered to report back on what he saw. He reported that Chief Sloan, Second Allsop, And H&W Electricians Parr and Marsh were gathered around discussing a plan to “switch something over” White makes no mention of the four assistant electricians and because we recovered Assistant electrician Herbert Jupes Body, it is obvious the Young assistants were sent up top sometime prior to the very end. They also likely surfaced on the port side following my three fields theory which separated them from the main body last seen on the starboard side. I hope this cleared up any misconceptions
On a liner built by their rival company cunnard lines, people were trapped in the elevators when the power failed, imagine how terrible being trapped aboard a sinking ship in a elevator, seeing the water rise knowing you can't escape
You know you are lost. You lose all hope. You know you are in a big ship which is slowly but surely sinking in the cold ocean. I dont want to know what theire last thoughts were, it must be unimaginable scary. Family or without family, its a real nightmare.
Do you think the people in the ship regretted staying inside rather then being on the outside of her while she sank? I’m sure some did. Gosh I can’t even imagine what their last moments were like
Given that the titanic was built at the early stages of electricity I wonder if anyone was electrocuted below decks. Watching the lights spark made me wonder.
@@DrinkinDaJuice Titanic used 100 volts dc iirc. Plenty to cause harm from electrocution. Though, if you were in a place where you'd come into contact with it during the sinking, it was likely the least of your worries.
You stick VR on that? I mean it looks stunning and is terrifying enough but may as well go for a full on panic attack, the young today tell me this is fun.
@Robert Bailey it can actually if you put iron/steel under water for a couple of decades it will slowly start rusting and collapse on it self until it rusts so hard that it starts disappearing
Same thing underwater it starts rusting and walls and floors and decks and fancy oak carved wood wood become so weak from the rust and depth pressure that’s it will cave in on its self and collapse on its self from pressure until nothing is left so give 20 to 30 years to the most until titanic is not gone but the main part yes but there will be pieces laying on dirty sand until those are gone in 40 to 50 years but we will always have pictures and videos I been study Titanic for about 5 years and that’s half of my life and I will never stop loving titanic
Yes it is a simulation in a program that recreates the sinking the best it can in a real time sinking animation with good graphics and its all a animation so you can’t interact with things but you can witness the sinking of D-Deck first class dining room
They found this in the wreck. The VR headset and console were found already pre-loaded with this simulation. It's crazy it survived over 100 years at the bottom of the ocean 🤔
The D deck gangway door was opened during the sinking so lifeboats could come back and collect more passengers (though never actually happened). This is the reception room: D Deck (same level as the gangway door). Not only did this door make the ship sink more than 2x faster, but it also began to disbalance the weight of water in the ship (like Scotland road did). Scotland Road and the gangway door were the main reasons that Titanic slowly shifted from a 5° starboard list to a 9° degree port list. At this moment in the sinking, the port list wasn't too serious. Once the door was underwater and Scotland Road had mainly flooded, the ship was severely listing to port.
@@thoji215 This is bullshit. The gangway door that was really opened was further aft and was never submerging, it was rising out of the water instead. They didn't open a gangway door at the reception, it would've sunk a lot faster. the D-Deck Dining Saloon sank in a natural way.

How did the lights stayed on for so long in the rooms as they were being flooded and what made them finally go out?

Terrible both ways
Thanks for the camera man for going back in time and record the titanic sinking
The noises though! It sounds like an earthquake, and when the lights are out I had a heart attack (not actually)
If it sounds like an earthquake, that would explain why it puts me into panic state of mind due to my fear of earthquakes.
Given that the titanic was built at the early stages of electricity I wonder if anyone was electrocuted below decks. Watching the lights spark made me wonder.
I wonder the same
Probably not. The voltage was very low and likely DC. Wouldn't even give you a jolt really.
Electrocution would be impossible as most of the electric power that entered the water would quickly disperse into the Atlantic ocean.

Okay, this was creepy as hell
When the light went out 😰
Super cool :)
That is scary :/
I cant belive that in real life it only took 4mjn to flood that area of D deck
Lots of space, water is strong
The the game still available for release this year as im excited about this.
I thoroughly she would’ve survived the collision had it been head on, she would’ve taken damage but she would’ve kept afloat
Well at least the pools still full
When is the game going to be finished. i don't want to walk around on the demo. i want to walk on the ship

That sinking too fast. Unrealistic. In real life reception room flooded between 2:00-2:10 am.
It seemed very fast to me too..
But I know the sinking had accelerated exponentially, so by 2am, I guess the flooding was very intense.
Kind of cool but the ship didn’t sink level so the water didn’t flood the ship like that.
