McCann lost no doubt, but he did show a lot of heart. Why they insist on ruining boxing with these stupid decisions I’ll never know. Saw it coming a mile off. The fact that not one judge scored the 9th to Baluta says it all.

Watched it live and MCcan was so lucky to get a draw. He got 'big manned' the whole fight. His supporters and the crowd were silent and so happy with for draw when announced.

It was a knockdown though dennis was robbed of that watch it back, so in the end a draw was a fair result and dennis wins the rematch.

McCann was getting caught too often by a good fighter not a world class fighter. McCann can take away from this fight a lot though. He has plenty of heart to dig in and keep going after a bad cut and he seems to have excellent punch residence. That said he needs to improve his defensive skills because against a skilled and teak tough Mexican he’ll be stopped early rounds.

Dennis McCann lost that fight just but he showed a great chin and heart including desire to win , he took some huge punches and never looked really hurt. Still Young brilliant experience will learn so much from that fight . Had everything .

I had a Baluta 5-3 before the ref called it in the 9th. It really should of been called during the 7th after the clash of heads at which pint I had it 3-3 and a draw would be reasonable. But McCann got a whooping for the reminder of the fight after the cut.
He should of lost this fight, Baluta can feel hard done by with this

Boxing is the only combat sport where that clash of heads would've caused the stoppage. What a joke.
Close, but maybe Baluta just edged it. Some of McCann’s shots were subtle counters that could be missed and were good scoring shots, but the main aggression was definitely Baluta. Having said that, this was a big step up for McCann and I think he handled the situation well, especially with the cut, so a good learning fight to put in the bag for the next fight.

What a cracking fight ! Two boxers giving it a 💯 ! Balata has one really good moments where he looked like he might be able to stop Dennis ! Dennis showed lots of grit and determination and stamina , took some heavy shots without any real problems !
Only negative for Dennis was his piss poor jab !
As a big fan of Dennis, this draw was a gift to Mccann for his resume, he was just getting hit a lot more, and with bigger and better shots (in my opinion obviously) he should have lost. Either way this was a great fight. A learning experience for Dennis. I still think he's a better boxer, just maybe had the wrong gameplan this time.
He has better boxing for sure, but Baluta is a good experienced boxer with amazing pace, big heart and, cardio-machine. The problem I see here is that it was a big step up for Dennis, who should have been fighting better opposition at this point of his career. I didn't watched any other fights of Dennis, but tbh I saw him in this fight pretty slow and with no explosiveness.

Hard to tell who won from a 10 minute highlight! But baluta looked the aggressor mostly and defo landed the bigger shots from this clip!

It is hard to tell from highlights alone, I haven't watched the whole fight, but as much I am a fan of Denis McCann, it appears that he was quite fortunate to get away with the draw.

Just what was going on when the judges results were being looked at, Warren all over the Judges. He shouldn't be anywhere near them. 5 year old could add up the scores.
McCann got lucky to get a draw, good fight.
Baluta landed far more power shots. Big combinations. He was the aggresor. Too strong for McCann. Baluta got robbed. I think he was on his way to putting McCann down.

There’s a lot of disrespect in the comments all of a sudden. People acting like it was Denis that judged and scored the fight, so what if he was getting beat towards the end. I personally thought before the fight that Baluta was going to win but let them rematch and see who comes out on top. Before this fight people were giving McCann massive praise and now it’s gone the other way….It’s still early in his career, some fans are too fickle

McCann stepped up against a good experience Boxer for the first time in my opinion, he's proved he's not world champion material has a lot to learn in shifting the gears and power punches, very, very, lucky to get a draw, I thought he was losing, but I'm not a ruling Judge. 🇮🇪👍

Ionut won this fight for me without a doubt. However, Mcann showed a lot of skill and heart at such a young age - I feel he will have learned a lot from this fight

The scoring in british boxing has become A scandalous farce now, The scoring in British boxing Has took A downward spiral from The caterall Taylor robbery. Hate too say It but The menace lost That fight.
Only one card was badly scored, and that was the one massively in favour of McCann. Overall it was a close fight and could have went either way.

From the highlights Baluta won, remove the accidental cuts, Baluta edged it in most of the rounds. Baluta is well within his right to feel aggrieved, and I concur with others, McCann was lucky and gifted a draw.
Real draws are rare in boxing, draw is usually used to stop the a side losing in a close fight, i.e wilder vs fury 1 and this

Idk why people are out to get Dennis, or claiming it was injustice towards either fighter… That was the most fair outcome possible considering Dennis should’ve had a knockdown and Baluta would’ve more than likely gone on to win the next round, Majority draw is the right outcome and I’d love to see a rematch.
