    Ggguuurrrllllll, mother is having a 25% off sale. I was salty at first cuz the set of 3 large palettes were "sold out" but after i added everything to the cart it was even cheaper than the bundle price. I also copped the highlighter palette. I watch you because you love PMG like i do and i was able to watch you play in it, see it go crazy and get a good understanding of how to use them. I was in love with her ever since I first learned about her last year. Thanks for being willing to come on and being your wonderful self.

    Hi, I came over from Mel Thompson’s channel where she gave you a shoutout. I’ve been binge watching your videos on brush reviews. I love my Wayne Goss brushes and mad I didn’t get a 2nd 2018 Holiday Brush, I contacted Beautylish today and they will be restocking for a third time soon. I need to get his Synthetic set. Just received my first ever Sonia G brush set, this one your talking about, and oh my goodness, used them today for the first time and I’m speechless. Now I need her face set.😘

    Hey Alicia, So glad you got this set. When I saw all the hype, and got so many notifications from Beautylish, I got nervous and pre-purchased them the day before because this old brain can get forgetful! I haven't used mine yet, but I can't wait. I want Hakuhodo, too. I will await your review.
    Also, if you have time, can you review the new Juvia’s Place, The Tribe? Please, please, please? I just bought the Mini Magic palette, and oh my, I love it better than any other palettes, other than Mother Pat. The colors work soooo well on my skin tone, like none other. I'm so excited for this review. You did such a great job of breaking everything down and now I know what I'm going to go for in purchasing. I slept on the collection, but I will be picking up a couple of singles when they come in. I didn't realize the old Mac brushes were made in Japan. It makes sense though as I've heard they aren't what they used to be. I whole-heartedly agree with the experience of the WG brushes raising my make-up game. I can't believe how I use to try and do my crease and I think I was just slathering color on and hoping it would blend out. And I think it's because his brushes are cut to work in smaller areas. Even the biggest crease brush comes to a point and doesn't splash shadow everywhere. I have small eyes and it's hard to believe I used to use a massive domed blender that was way too big for me.

    How much do we love Sonia G brushes?!?! I can tell you exactly when the Pro eye set sold out; 30 seconds before I tried to check out mine at Beautylish. So I’m waiting for the next round, like I’m waiting for Builder 2. But it’s worth it. Because when you’ve spent thousands of bucks on eye shadow palettes (add it up some night if you want to lose sleep), you need great application tools. Good video. I enjoy your work. So thanks. 😃

I trust you opinion so much and I love watching the brushes in action! So far, do you prefer these brushes to the original counterparts? Or are there any originals you prefer to the pros, so far? I love your channel! Thanks for all of the amazing content and your beautiful heart! 💖

    • @aliciaarcher
      @aliciaarcher  6 років тому +3

      Thank you! I much prefer the worker pro and builder pro to the smudger. Only because I rarely smudge pencil liner, and I love how the pro brushes create a beautiful wash of color under my lower lash line.(there are times where I apply a dark shadow to my upper lash line, and the smudger one is great) But that’s more a style preference. Also, I do feel I have more control with those brushes over my Worker brushes. Because it’s a bigger brush head, I have to be careful that the blending doesn’t travel to high up. All in all, they serve different purposes, and I would recommend one or two from the pro set to compliment the original set.

    What is the best way to clean these brushes, or maybe all brushes? I see so many ways and special products but if I’m spending a pretty coin on brushes I want to make sure I care for them as best as I can. I’m especially looking for what to do with new brushes, straight outta the pack. Should I sanitise them with alcohol or wash them with something non alcohol before use? Any tips & advice is much appreciated! I’m planning to get more Sonia G & Wayne Goss brushes plus I have some stater brushes I bought from the drugstore and some that I received free with purchase of stuff (those smell, like really heavy ink,chemicals or something!). Hey Alicia! Yet again... another great video demo/review. Like you, I would expect to love the brushes and it seems you do. But I decided not to get the set for a couple of reasons. 1st, I just bought several of the older eye brushes and am still practicing (and paying 😉) with those. 2nd, I got $everal $onia G face brushe$ I want & 3rd, I want to see how the new Pro line looks/performs over time. If they’re too similar to others (i.e. WG) then I’ll wait for them to be sold individually. I’m definitely eyeing that Pencil Pro! Thanks again❣️

    I know I’m a little late to the game-I’ve been watching your videos and would LOVE LOVE LOVE to know which brushes you would recommend a newbie to buy first? Rephr? Sonia G? Wayne Goss? I can’t afford to buy them all. I have BH cosmetics and Morphe and a couple of Sigma brushes. I did get a rephyr prototype to test and I LOVED it! So now I’m wanting to start collecting better quality brushes. Haha. Can you maybe share your top picks of each brand? Or which set you would recommend for your first purchase? The face set? The anniversary set? The launch set? An eye set? Or singles...I don’t mind buying one from each or one full set! Please help! 😭

    • @aliciaarcher
      @aliciaarcher  5 років тому +1

      If I were to rank:
      Rephr
      Sonia
      Wayne
      From beginner up. Sonia’s Eye Set I would buy over Wayne’s because it has more shapes, and I feel offers a more comprehensive experience in terms of application. Rephr I say beginner because they have traditional shapes that I feel a novice will feel comfortable using. Wayne’s Eye brushes are mostly tapered, and if you want a packer brush, you would need to get his anniversary set. Sonia is all about the fan design as well, and if you’re not into that then that’s newly half her collection.

    Why did the old plant die, was it not getting enough natural light or were you over watering? I don't think that corner gets enough natural light for most plants. Mother-in-laws tongue do well with low light and neglect. Not sure whether one plant is enough to purify a room if at all tbh. I use a Dyson air purifier which doubles up as a fan.
    Loved the review seriously tempted.

    Hello 🤗 I have recently discovered your channel and i was hoping you could do a video for newbies like me that have zero good quality eye brushes and are looking to invest. Maybe do your top 5 eye brushes to start out with? I have hooded eyes and have been doing some research and Sonia G, Smith and Wayne Goss are the brush brands everyone seems to love but i trust your opinion as you are very informative in your videos. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

      Hello! I don't have Wayne Goss or Smith brushes, but do have Sonia G.'s. From my research, Smith would be the least soft choice of brushes. I do not believe Wayne's brushes are as dense as Sonia's brushes. Sonia makes her brushes with knowing the need to work well with heavy hooded, textured eye lids. And she made her Crease Two specifically to be able to get in under the hood to lay down and blend out color easily. Personally I would recommend white goat hair for you in the shape(s) that would best work for your make-up application style. Also, do not hesitate to chat with Beautylish Customer Service about what you are looking for in terms of use. Enjoy!

      I don't get it. What's wrong with the Zoeva ones? It actually is also natural hair (the 239 that is)...

    • @aliciaarcher
      @aliciaarcher  5 років тому +3

      MiGel nothing wrong: it’s a joke. Zoeva is great! Sonia brushes are hand crafted whereas Zoeva brushes are machine made. Although Zoeva brushes perform well and are sold at a reasonable price point, Sonia’s brushes are unparrelled in terms of performance and quality. If I were to recommend an inexpensive brush, it’ would be definitely Zoeva.

      I was actually curious about a comparison as I right now have quite a few Zoeva brushes (the only easily available natural hair brushes in germany left) and was debating just today about ordering the Sonia G. set (which I did).
      I am really interested how they compare, considering 3 times the price. I figured I could always sell the set though if I didn't feel it was worth the price difference. ^^

      MiGel the difference will be noticed in the ease of blend and finish. The bristles on a Zoeva brush are laser cut, whereas the bristles on Sonia’s are hand bundled. This ensures and more even application, easier blending, and overall softer feel. The high price reflects in the craftsmanship. Some ppl value the process by which these brushes are made, and feel it worth the purchase. Others don’t, and that’s understandable! If you find that there’s zero difference, then yes you can go forward however you wish. Keep me updated for sure!
