I have this model LG 79UB980T TV LED... The power button goes off immediately after a second.. Do we get a replacement mother board for this model ?. or can this be couriered from India for repair ? Thanks & Rgds, Ravi
Hi, My TV 79UB980T-TA serial 407KCVU22039 has been using past 6 years and evrything works perfect until now. • It shut down randomly. I tried soft and hard reset, unplug power, firmware updated but still same. • Now when i plug in power it turn on by itself without using remote or power button • I cannot turn off tv with remote or power button • At time, I can watch tv without any issue for long time, but cannot turn off tv • At time, it restart by itself without reason • All other function works fine Kindly advice what could be possible issue, can be repaired?
Hello, this motherboard is very difficult to order now, you should find a used board, but they are out of production for a new one. I don't have this motherboard right now
Ok so the low voltage you got during the LED tester check says the 43 volt backlights are bad…was there another problem with the tv that had you do this mod? What you’ve done is drive the backlight directly through the ground rail with diode and resistor but also bypassing the protection mode of the led driver so it doesn’t shut down. Plenty wrong things there since a tv that size needs protection to prevent massive damage….🥲

You're right, but I'll make sure it runs, and if this voltage is higher or lower than 43 volts, it will still turn off and protect normally.
