  • I visited a retro amusement park located on a mountain in Hyogo Prefecture.
    I enjoyed what's said to be Japan's most uncomfortable ride, a revolving restaurant, and retro games.
    Prices are at time of shooting.

    wow, the ride up looked amazing, and that smaller ride looked uncomfortable, but yes, I'd still ride it. I think i accidently let out excitement noises when I saw the classic Sailor Moon ride. Sailor moon anime and manga really saved my life as a child, gave me something to keep pushing forward in. The cute little curry was amazing, and the cute baseball game is something I could spend hours playing! The rotating restaurant was nice, and we have one here, but it's far far away from me in Seattle. Seeing Dragon ball made me happy, yet sad. Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. played many games with his characters, and watch a lot of Dragonball too. The hotdog and soda looked very yum! Such a wonderful video filled with amazing views and wonderful things and memories of my childhood. Thank you for another wonderful and amazing video, stay safe and wonderful in your travels dear friend!

    17:44 Hi! I live in Atlanta, Ga, USA. We do have a restaurant on top of a hotel here, the whole building is round. It’s called the Sundial restaurant. It rotates 360° also. It’s an upscale restaurant and very expensive. I was there many many yrs ago, but only had drinks. 🍹The hotel name is the Westin Peachtree Plaza.

    We had a revolving restaurant that was very fancy back in the 80s and early 90s in a high rise building in my city of Rochester NY!!! Unfortunately it closed years ago and never reopened as anything else. Also that hotdog looked AMAZING! You can tell the Japanese really take pride in their businesses and jobs which is something you don’t see in America so much anymore which is why things always close and reopen as something else every few years. I also noticed at the end during the carlator ride they were playing Suwannee river in the background!!!! Amazing! This park was so awesome they should never change a thing so nostalgic!

    That was very fun! A great variety of things to do and see! In Boston, there was a famous restaurant called Top of the Hub on the 52nd floor of the Prudential Center (the tallest building until they built the John Hancock tower). Needless to say, on a clear day, the view was incredible. It closed in 2020, but for decades, it was THE special place restaurant. There are other rotating restaurants, but...none so grand.
    I think I watch too many action movies...that music made me think a fight was about to break out, ala John Wick! Hahaha! Glad that didn't happen....

    I love rotating restaurants: the first one I went to was in the CN Tower in Toronto, the second one was somewhere in the US but as I was pretty young, I don't remember exactly where.
    Growing up, there would be small jukeboxes on the tables in the restaurants, usually playing Motown or Country and Western. I'm really aging myself 😂
    I too hope this stays open forever. The upkeep must be difficult but it's still impeccable and even reminds me of my youth. Thanks for the great time. I loved the lift down too!

When you did the bike ride around the Sky I had to show my partner cause it would be something that I would love to do! Though I doubt that the little seat's would fit either of us. Thank you for taking us along for the ride's and view's! You asked about Rotating restaurant's There's Several state's listed that have them But most of them closed due to well as you stated Cost of repairs/upkeep. Skycity In Seattle Is now a bar which kinda Suck's. There's 11 Across like 21 state's that are left..that still spin. Thank you Again for Taking us along with you!

    Serious question! Does it ever get warm enough in Japan to go swimming in the ocean? I used to live in North-east coast of the US and never once remember the water being warm enough for a comfortable swim. How does swim season go in Japan?

    • @experience_japan
      @experience_japan  2 місяці тому +1

      Yes, of course!
      In Japan, you can swim in the ocean anywhere except in relatively high latitude areas such as Hokkaido and Tohoku.
      At Suma Beach, shown in this video, the water temperature rises to 28°C in August, so everyone enjoys swimming.
