By the way eclipse I do appreciate your videos. I think you do a great job explaining the mechanics of the game. My issue is not with you it's with wargaming. Have a great day my friend
My big problem is teammates knocking me off cliff or bumping into me as im trying to shoot, ive also had a bunch of games where I would be a medium and I would just get boxed in at heavys at spawn and they don't let me move then i just quit the match at that point
The best way to play this game is when you want to play and not when you think you have to play the game for your stats… I stopt playing daily 30 plus games and not only do i have more fun in the less games i also improved my stats aswel. Rng is something incredibly irritating in this game and it will put stress on you every chance it gets and when that happens you make more mistakes that result in even worse results. Best is to quit and go for a walk when you feel frustrated when you return and start up the game again Rng most of the time is a bit or sometimes allot better again.
Being able to honestly assess oneself and figuring out how you could have had better impact on a scenario before blaming outside factors is a good life-skill in general. So many people are quick to blame everything else before they look at themselves. Of course, there's a balance, because it's just as bad to blame EVERYTHING on yourself. Next time, please park your head over on the left side somewhere. You got your noggin blocking the mini-map so, when you said "What am I doing wrong?" in your Conqueror, we couldn't see the mass of enemy heading towards your base. BTW, I would suggest that the square mini-map you use is superior to the round radar-style map alternative that I've seen other people use given that the square map gives you much better overall situational awareness.
I will say this eclipse and idk if you experience this as well or not, but ive noticed alot of shots not going anywhere near where you are even remotely aiming. Im not talking about accuracy, i'm talking about the shell velocity. I dont think it is even close to being a accurate as what it says it is, it feels way slower.
Good information for player's to improve but most stats don't mean anything the i would base off of is cause & receive with kd mixed with the rest to see if doing more than 50/50
My biggest issue right now is that I can't be in two places at once: If I pick the right corridor on Berlin, we lose the field, if I go to the field, we lose the city It blows my mind when virtually the *entire* team does down the left flank on Murovovka and *still loses* while I'm just trying to guard the right side of the base they've left completely undefended. I used to average around a 57% WR, nothing spectacular, but these games have become blowout after blowout The center of Pearl River is completely undefended and like 1 min later the game is 8 - 13 What are you supposed to do in these situations? How the hell do I single handedly stop a full heath Absolution and a Pz V/IV rushing full speed through the ceneter in a stock AMD 178B Am i just bad? Is it just a skill issue that I didn't spawn in as a T29 or something? Because I'm losing my freaking mind seeing my WR plummet to 25% 😀😀
I disagree with the part where if you played good but your team didn't is your fault, nope i have footage an pictures of games where i did my part even way beyond of what i could and the team played stupidly, for example in Cold War i had a T72 game ERA 3 where i destroyed 3 tanks and, delivered 19846 Raw damage and 1113 spotted and thankfully blocked 6620 damage and still lost, i have many games where i go beyond the call of duty and still get in the bad batch, i get it where there is people that go by themselves, never check the map, and then get killed by 6 tanks and blame the team, but also there are players that try their best, try to communicate, get ignored and the team gets destroyed, so i disagree and agree on some aspects, also BOTS are annoying but also farmable, meh, but what i am trying to deliver here is that yes the games is fun, but as any competitive multiplayer game it can be frustrating.
I'm not saying quite literally that 100% of games are winnable, but the vast majority are. I've done 10k damage and lost a handful of times. It's more a matter of making sure you are critical of yourself. Even if you think there was nothing you could do, trying to think about alternative options will come in useful in the future.
@@EcliipseHD I have a good one, check your map and pay attention to your team, if they seem to be playing in a way... let's say not very good to keep it short, play passive, if they seems to know the map and work well, play a bit more agressively, that would be my reccomendation in those scenarios.
Well first of all you drive to a position with the Grille and you don't get spotted which is not true for the most of us even when we're running all of the camo and perks that make your tank invisible with Max view range. Most of us get punished by going to that position because we get spotted and shredded by other TD's on the other Hill. And I know you're going to tell me that I don't understand spotting and I don't understand view range and I don't understand camouflage but I can tell you I understand the viewing circle how far tanks can see. You're just lucky you didn't get spotted track and shot because of a YOLO light tank on the other side. I understand my detection circle and how silent driving works with my detection circle and trying to make sure that I don't have any tanks with inside my detection circle however when you shoot even with muffled shot you can be spotted by the other side and if the RNG good luck bad luck is it on your side you're going to get smoked. I got to say man you're 61% win ratio is server aided dude because you're a streamer and wargaming gives you preferential treatment. They can't sell tanks unless somebody's shilling for them. I'm not saying that you're aware of it but I'm telling you that the server determines everything on the map. If they can program the bots then they can program how people play in the game. Rig matchmaking rigged RNG all designed to sell tanks. Clown show game I don't play it anymore because it's dumb.
My guy, I've played this game off and on since it came out on the 360, and yes well I agree with some of your points on how he did get lucky not getting detected and other things, that's not wargaming giving him favor because he's a streamer that plays that game, that's the enemy team not being in a position to detect him instantly for being in a position like he's in. Stop being so negative for no reason. You say you don't play the game, but yet you still watch content about the game and then posts salty comments. You need to do better
@@asawright9191 first of all I'm not your guy, second of all, I'm not salty pointing out that the game has an algorithm that is not RNG it's actually a program number generator that controls everything that happens on the map. It's program good luck bad luck. It's programmed my hitboxes big enemy hitbox small. It's called protect the new player so they'll spend money on the game. How else can you explain the inexplicable stuff that happens in the game like Rikki-Tikki-Tavi did a video on how he always gets caught on fire when he's the last tank go watch the video. He posted a video that every time he's the last tank that he always gets caught on fire. Go look at space bandits video you posted the other day. Saying the same thing about the inexplicable crap that happens in the game. That's why when you're on these colossal losing streaks everything that can go wrong does go wrong. You lose crew members and modules you get caught on fire your turret gets jammed everything that possibly could go wrong does go wrong when you're in the colossal losing streaks that are a built-in algorithm that predetermine of the game. It's the reason why you can take well-aimed shots and not hit anything and people can snapshot you across the map and penetrate your tank without even thinking about it. It's not RNG it's programmed you're going to lose and I can tell whether I'm going to win or lose the match just by the RNG that I experience within the first minute or two of each match. And no it's not compromising bias because it happens constantly. It's great when you're on The winning side of the algorithm. It's such a rigged system. Don't get me wrong I love the game and I wish it was playable but it's not playable if you care about fairness. Thank you for your comments.
It’s totally possible when the matchmaker selects who gets put into a team that it choses folk who have a record of camping at the cap on a particular map or indeed made up of tanks with poor spotting capability. If RNG is accepted as affecting whether you hit or miss then any metric can potentially be manipulated. I think the poster of this comment is correct, which is not to say Eclipse is bad. He’s not, he is amazing but I think you’re being a bit naive about WG’s manipulation of algorithms to pre-determine outcomes. How can you say it’s fair when they demonstrated the complete opposite with update 6.0? I’ve also been playing 9 years and have a WN rate of 51%. I’m an average player who plays for fun but can see it’s all about money. In this ‘free’ game a pixel dust tank can cost £35… I actually can’t believe I said that but it kinda proves my point. Happy hunting everyone!
@alecgray3711 yea, it is a f2p game, they don't force us to buy premium tanks, there are plenty of tech tree tanks that are very good to excellent tanks in the game that compete or outright outplay premium tanks, there's only a couple of premium tanks that are way to good. But I do agree with you on the matchmaking with its completely random on who you get for teammates, so yea some games I get good teammates, other times, I get guys that act like they've never played the game before, but even with all that said I have a 56% win rate, I help my team to absolute best of my ability to make sure we win as much as possible
I have a little over 20k battles with a 51% wr, when I was around 5k battles, I was watching my WR and the one thing I noticed was I could not get off of a 50% wr , didn't matter how many battles were played it remained at 50% for more than 7 months 😅 then I realized the game is rigged by WG , slowly over the years my WR made it to 51% and that's where I expected to stay ......forever 😢
I will say i have had a Time where i got my first American sherman and my first match using a stock tank i managed to achieve Master Tanker and 3 marks of excellence
I'm paying more attention to the indicator that tells me I'm spotted. For better games I need to stay alive longer, and to stay alive longer I need to stop getting shot. Patience particularly at the start is important. I have recently managed to increase my WR to a spectacularly average 49% 😄
Good to hear. I'ts refreshing to see someone wanting to improve and I can guarantee over time you'll be way above the 50% mark if you keep on doing what you're doing. Avoid damage where you can is the best strategy if you're not spotted you don't get hit or if someone doesn't have a round in their tank you can't get hit. Making use of this is one of the biggest ways to improve
Great job man! Staying unspotted, keeping your health for the end, realizing you're in a bad position, a bad side, or involved in a bad trade, and rolling out for better options. Not over exposing yourself. Watching the map constantly! Example: TigerI, peek slightly around corner, Arty shot in side for almost 1200, all bc I wanted to peek, too. 1 shot from another tank and loading screen. I was silly, that hardly ever happens, his targeting beacon didn't light up on me, but I learned, lol.
I utterly despise artillery. It's one of the things that constantly drives me away from the game. Very annoying too, constantly losing money (while winning games) because I am not playing on premium time.
This is going to be a second comment but has anyone noticed it seems like the Matchmaker doesn't seem to be putting people with similar ratings together I've been on both sides were a team is getting wiped out harder than usual
Console needs game chat I'm fed up with having my entire team go on the same side of the map to kill 3 people and then I get cross fired from 5 directions because I'm having to go solo
No one “makes” you do anything, going to one side of the map by yourself is entirely on you. Yes It’s stupid when an entire team sits on one square of the map, but that doesn’t mean go off on your own like a fool then complaining about getting left by yourself
@@williamheath7058 E3 and Jpz E100 are meant for that kind of battle, so if you’re playing those, then yes you should. Regardless, going off on your own then blaming your teammates for leaving you high and dry is still on you. I’m also not saying having 12 people in the same square is a good idea either
Well... it would be more accurate to say "I wish people used chat more in console." I mean... there IS voice-chat, but people mostly use it to spew vitriol about how much their team sucks. And, as painful as it can be (trust me, I know), if the team lemming-trains down one flank, you gotta either go with the flow or hold a defensive position. Like the whole point of the video... it isn't about what your team is doing, it's about what YOU are doing about what your team is doing...
It is really tough when the team lemming trains down one side in your left holding the bag by yourself on the other. You ask yourself:should i go with the group of the other fourteen on this flank then, our base gets rushed and we lose because everyone's on the other side of the map? Or do I hold it down here as long as I can and hope my team can come up with something? I have been burned on this decision so many times I cannot tell you. You know that the base is going to be attacked from behind you know that the artillery are going to get got. What do you do? I'll skip the part and tell you what happens. You get rolled and it's fifty fifty if your team can pull out the win at that point.😭
In a game of 15v15, often times with no one even teaming, i just dont understood the logic behind winning percentage being a relevant statistic in this particular game.
people with higher win rate percentages are doing more to impact the games they are in, which includes figuring out how to work with the teams they get. There is a meta that develops, even if every single team-member is out for themselves. Sometimes it only takes one selfless-acting player to turn a match.
@@danceswithmules i disagree totally, and can at least debunk this "theory" for my experience anyway. I have loads of pics of me doing 4 or 5k damage in tier 10, but losing. I may get two games like that in the same tank, then have a game in which I do 1k damage, but my tram wins. Its all an algorithm, period.
It's no algorithm. Just because you do 4k damage it doesn't reflect what might have happened in that game. Maybe you got 3k damage farming people yoloing you at the end of the game. Or the fact that maybe if you changed to different positions you could increase the likelihood of winning even if you have less damage or maybe because you move it opens up opportunities for more damage long term than getting the immediate damage thats available. It's all about being objective of your own gameplay. Labeling it as an algorithm that decides if you win is the exact reason I made this video. It's not an algorithm, if you play bad or don't impact the game enough you lose. If you impact the game a lot and carry your team you can win more. Unfortunately its hard to think that maybe you played badly or didnt perform but often that is one of the primary reasons people lose more than they win and once you understand this I can guarantee you do better in the long term.
@@EcliipseHD but your video was entirely subjective and your opinion. I literally have tons of clips of disappearing shots, ricochets, and games where I did plenty comparatively, and still lose. Then have a trash game, and get a win. It is an algorithm. I thought everyone knew that. I certainly have never claimed to be a great player, certainly not on your level, but saying win percentage means something in a game of 15v15, is just silly my brother.
@@EcliipseHD And I quit playing the game regularly because I sent lots of evidence to WarGaming and they didn't even respond to me. I sent them screenshots and clips. They don't care. But most players who've played any amount of time, have experienced similar instances of "RNG."
Your funniest video yet and nothing like reality for most, play that game in a slow TD , you were obviously very lucky as most trying what you did wouldn't last a minute! I gave up AGAIN in utter frustration last night , shots bouncing or missing completely and getting hit every time and nothing to do with camouflage as tanks 200 metres away don't appear out of nowhere and then disappear again as quickly!
I wouldn't really ever play a slow td in that position so yes it wouldn't work. But not to say you wouldn't be able to have a way bigger impact in another position
One should remember that the RNG element is based on modeling the actual dispersion values for the weapons involved. Real world cannon don't shoot perfectly straight. There's an infinite number of variables that impacts a shell's trajectory from the point it lets fly from the breech until it gets to the target. WWII tanks often missed what they were aiming at with their first shot in an engagement.
You'll notice that the E100 was bouncing many of those premium rounds at that distance, if you were referring to the Grille 15 clip. Also, Eclipse wasn't ALWAYS using premium rounds. I will admit that it made me twitch when he was using HEAT against the Waffle's turret. Most tanks still have high enough pen on HE rounds to punish a Waffle well and good. I put it down to not thinking about ammo selection in the heat of the moment. Makes me wish it was possible to pre-select the next load like you can in WoTPC. One reason I use ammo swappers in tanks like the Conway and FV4005.
Most of the time I just dont bother looking and swapping between just causes an increased delay in being able to fire. When you get spare time I will swap or if there is no chance of penning with a round then I will swap. In addition I would not run the equipment to allow you to swap, since its pretty situational in something like a grille.
Of course everybody can improve, but some of these games are soo damn unwinnable it is kinda funny. Like prokorovka in the wz5a with entire team camping redline and me getting smashed by "balanced" arty for almost all my hitpoints in two shots and a miss by 10 meters within the first 3 minutes. Those games are way to often and it is hard not to focus on them because they perfectly represents all that is wrong with this game and how useless the devs of this game really are
I have no doubt yours a good player ive been watching your videos for a while but ever since you started playing pc mainly you've gotten worse on console just because of the difference between the two like for example not running camo net on a lot of tanks that need it like the taran which is one of the best things about it, i understand that camo works different on pc so you need to focus on uploading video that work better for console vs pc, thats the main reason your wn8 is gotten so much worse.
Everyone knows how to play the game very few understand how to play the game. You can have all the experience in the world yet never change your play style and never learn from said experience.
Removing the RNG element is like playing only german and british tanks.
I see that you one of those players that only uses premium rounds
I would love to play full time my winrate is 52% I want be better
How much money have you paid into the game on that account and have you a ftp account? 🤔😝
Over the course of 9 years I would expect about $400
@@EcliipseHD over a similar time period ( I started playing before you) I gave about twenty quid.
Oh and don't overlay your mugshot on the map.
@@EcliipseHD That's hardly anything over the span of 9 years really.
Everyone knows how to play the game very few understand how to play the game.
You can have all the experience in the world yet never change your play style and never learn from said experience.
A bird can say the same words over and over giving him experience in saying words/ phrases.. Never once understanding what it’s saying.
