I'm having this exact issue with my Honda 2200 suitcase generator. I took it to the dealership to see if they would fix it under warranty but I'm glad to see that I was correct in suspecting the carb was just dirty. If they will not do it under warranty then I will just clean it out myself.
From my limited experience with Tecumseh engines (I welded an 8 horse snowblower engine to a bike when I was 14) they are good motors but the needle and seat seem to get misaligned with a lot of vibration. I highly doubt this will give you a problem too often, since you're probably gonna jump the leaf vac or run it at 40mph down a gravel road, but if it does keep happening, it might be worth it to look into converting it to a different type of carb.
my mower won't start. I did everything to it.i am about to soak it in awesome brand cleaner and rinse it with the hose.fed up with this thing. if it doesn't work when it drops, it will become scrap metal.I am an older female and none of my male neighbors are real men so they can't help. I like these videos because it gives me hope that there are still real men out there that know how to fix things. too bad there's none near me in northern NJ.
Well I wish you luck with that! If you have any questions feel free to email me at dandeoffroad@gmail.com If you enjoyed this video, maybe checkout my other channel - Doug v Carburetor - Where all I do is fix old small engines and power equipment which others have left for dead.
Do you know what could cause a new pressure washer to crank and spit fuel but not start? Spark plug looks good and the thing isn't even a year old! Only used it 3 times so It's weird considering we ran it the third time a few months ago.. It's even got fresh oil in it still.
Are you sure the fuel is good and hasn’t turned to water? I strong suggest you remove the carb and make sure it is clean as a whistle and flowing fresh gas
Had no spark on my mtd yard machine riding mower. New plug, new coil and now it will only fire a few times trying to run then dies. Plug gets wet with fuel, maybe even oil not sure.
I just watched an old episode of Shark Tank where an Air Force pilot pitched those grip mats. And hey, did i see some sort of motorbike in the background?

Love that machine !! It does a great job of mulching up leaves. I have one, I don’t know what I’d do without it during leaf season.
That thing is awesome. I would hate to do the leaves you have in your yard as well. Good video
If only Jeeps were this easy! Keep on jeepn'
I have a snowmachine that keeps getting my sparks wet this was very helpful info
Only a Chicago Bears Fan can fix a carb. Great video.

Thanks for your contribution on the carb.

I need on of those leaf suckers.
What type of blade does that take
That is an awesome tool!
Very helpful video, thanks
Suggestion is to use a flame thrower lol no more leaves bonus you stay warm and can roast smoked sausage
LOL... extra bonus you never have to mow the lawn again because scorched earth

your dog is beautiful!
Thanks!
I thought they were called leaves because that's what you are supposed to do with them. Leave them.
Have more time to watch the Bears lose on Sunday. Unfortunately, that ain’t no lie. Our team hasn’t looked great the past few weeks. Bear down.
