SPEARFISHING DOUBLE ISLAND FNQ | First time spearfishing

Grabbed the new speargun and took it for a run over to Double Island, Cairns in the jet ski. Fish, turtles and some unreal drone shots on what turned out to be one cracka morning.

First time I ever went here, I saw a hammerhead shark, bigger than my boat. my boat was a 2.5m boat though. haha. Small!

Some big tigers hang out near there, sometimes around the small islMd nearby locals call it "scouts hut"

Your not wrong, I’ve been back recently and came across a big bronzey! Have been told it’s from the trawlers dumping catch behind the island; definitely have to have your wits about you around there

Oath man when the trawlers park up they dump the waste over side. I have personally witnessed it happening a few times aswell. Still a awesome spot to check out though get barras and stuff round the jetty there too
