Can confirm level 18 herbalism is possible before leaving Skalitz This gets you level 5 strength if you start with level 1 strength I also recommend starting with speech since it's the hardest to raise, and since herbalism gives you a boost in STR/VIT
Nope, Speech is pretty much unneeded until you reach Rattay, and there you can quickly level it to 4 or 5 just by talking to NPCs and flogging them stuff like herbs, or things you 'liberated' in Skalitz. The hardest to level early on is Agility, so you might want to start with that. Agility doesn't really start to go up until you put in serious hours of Training with Captain Bernard.
agility is pretty easy, just use a shortsword/any sword that isn't a longsword I was stacking up some good agility exp and money from killing the sheep in skalitz Had 12 agility and 10 strength by the time I left skalitz just killing sheep for an hour, and also made a solid 500 grochens from mutton And that was after maxing herbalism (18 in skalitz) getting me 5 str I do agree though that if you don't care about getting max level 20 (it only really matters for the achievement) you should spend that early bonus on literally anything else. But I think I would still go with vitality since agility raises pretty quickly with a decent shortsword
@@PTMG Well, frankly, I don't play my game like that. I don't run around killing or punching animals or rob people for fun so I start in Rattay with thousands of Groschen. If you try to keep immersion intact, agility is definitely the better stat to select at the start.
idk the bonus to health and stamina, plus stamina regen is pretty damn useful plus again, if you just use a shortsword/sabre instead of a longsword, agility naturally raises faster than str does for the majority of players who don't care about being level 19 instead of level 20 (due to low speech), vitality makes the most sense to start with. For your niche scenario it sounds like you insist that agility is better though, even though the solution to your problem is as easy as choosing an agility weapon type, but that is neither here nor there, because the original comment was directed at the average player, not you.
@@PTMG as much as i respect anyone giving so much time to make their Henry as strong as possible before leaving Skalitz i think it just destroy the immersion and sense that you are just a peasant and simple blacksmith's son. Imo. Depends on the playstyle and what suits you best.
Love that people started to coming back to this gem of a came from my country of origin. Hope you enjoy your first play through! Vitality is certainly big, especially those later perks.
Already on my second playthrough (mostly a side quest playthrough) Absolutely great game, and been hittin those wikipedia pages and history videos about 1400's bohemia now lol
@@PTMG Yeah it wasn't that much loved at the beginning due to it being buggy mess, but to be honest, I loved to exploit it. You could for example kill all the cumans at the beginning and become demi-God before even leaving Skalitz at older version (there was option that you didn't have to get target-locked when swinging, meaning you could run around like a dumbass and swing at the first cuman, take his equipment, rinse and repeat). To be honest I came back to this game after like 5 years and I love those exploitations aren't part of it anymore and that it actually gives you challenge. Shame Bohemia always got f*ed in the end. Nowadays all is left of Czech Republic is that it's a cheap labor workshop for West and due to it's housing prices (one of the worst in EU) intriguing investment for foreigners. We gotten f*ed back then, and we are getting f*ed right now, so nothing basically changed.
I get you but i Cant say the best . But its definitely well executed and is up there. It stands on the giants like witcher 3 , skyrim, baldurs gate, etc. those games are as memorable.
@@markuku2991 with the recourses they had they made a masterpiece. The immersion of this game is the best I've ever felt. Everything is perfect, makes you work for everything. You can't just go against the bunch of enemies like in Skyrim and hope to win. You need to master the art of swordplay and the art of archery to even have a chance against one or two opponents. And the stealth in this game is also one of the best I've ever encountered. I just love waiting for the night and attacking cuman or bandits camps. But doing it without potion for better night vision is close to impossible. That's why alchemy is so important to master like any skill tree in this game.
After the first video you dropped on KCD got me wanting to watch more of your content aside from Fable. Your Let's Play videos are joy to watch and I have that bell on. Looking forward to many more KCD videos and hopefully the sequel game too. Keep up the good work!
thumbnaild picked me up, good vid, thanks 420 bro. kcd is greatt. edit: going further with vid, and you have a sub. 2nd edit: so many things you dont notice at first, but this game is deep for AA game.
The only way to do a crimeless run and build Pribyslavitz is by selling potions. Just did it a while back, thousands of lazarus potions sold (Hardcore mode so prices are worse)
@@PTMG Hardcore is the only way anymore man. Even if I sell a Marigold Decoction for 4 groschen, it could be perfect if only they had horse carriages you could use to "fast travel" by paying some money because riding around back and forth is boring. (If you start it pick Brittle Bones and Tapeworm they are the least bad perks)

I like how the area you pick things is getting larger and larger so youre basically just reaping with a scythe by the end :D
