- Should believers in Yeshua follow the same dietary instructions that He did? Did Peter and Paul both follow the dietary instructions of the Torah? Has religion told the truth about clean and unclean or has it lied to and deceived believers for the sake of satisfying the flesh and keeping tradition? The food laws are more important than most people realize. The first "act of sin" documented in The Bible was the breaking of a food law. So glad to see you tackling this all important topic!
I had no idea following the dietary laws was even a lifestyle among believers. But after a radical encounter with Yahweh in 2018 after years of being unequally yoked and backsliding, He began leading me into ALL truth. Long periods of fasting seeking and praying in the secret place and Ruach ha Kodesh illuminated all these things and gave me a burning desire to obey!!!! Halleluyah. He is so good and worthy and faithful!

Great teaching by Pastor Gary as usual! Everyone, be careful as pork is hiding in so many things you wouldn't think of. Anything that's not whole food, I highly recommend you contact the company and inquire. You will be surprised (and disappointed) at how many things contain pork. You especially have to watch out for enzymes/rennet in cheese and whey and for gelatin.

This teaching is providing so much clarity on poor and erroneous English translations on the dietary instructions. As a babe coming to Torah, we are frequently taunted by Christians who dangle ham and bacon to our face saying that all food is good if it is prayed over with thanksgiving and prayer. After hearing this message I do feel armed and empowered by the truth and am ready to face the scoffers.

I have had this same conviction regarding kosher foods for about 10 years now, but it is horrifying to see so many so called Messianic Christians in Malaysia of Gentile origins, living and teaching compramisingly with regards to kosher foods. AMEIN!!! I believe all that 100%! The only question I have is 1 someone brought to me & I don't know how to answer is: Genesis 9:3. Please help me to explain this.
Be glad to! Noah knew the difference between clean and unclean animals before the flood took place. YAH told him to take seven pairs of all the clean animals and only two of the unclean animals. Why so many more of the clean animals? Because Noah was going to sacrifice some after leaving the ark and because YAH was going to allow Noah to eat of the clean animals. If YAH was saying that Noah could eat every animal, unclean included, a number of species would have gone extinct soon after they left the ark. Just because our English translation says "every animal" is given for food doesn't mean the unclean animals were given also for food. YAH has never included unclean animals as FOOD for His people. The word FOOD implies what is approved by YAH for consumption by His people. The Scripture also says every green herb was given for food before the flood, however, there are many green herbs that are poisonous. Obviously, they were not to be eaten - neither unclean animals. Later, the Torah codifies this in the listing of all the unclean animals..
