I like hearing Marilyn speak. Not only does she have something worthwhile to say but Marilyn says it in a gracious manner. I don't know if Marilyn had vocal training in her early movie years but she speaks in a clear, precise way and still sounds natural and unaffected.

Yes, as a young teen her vocal coach needed her to stop her bad case of stuttering so she had to learn to speak breathy & slowly to prevent her stutters. And it worked!

@@nikki4596 Clint Eastwood has in some of his films spoken in an almost whispery voice. I've read he got the idea for that from Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn could use a breathy, soft voice to be sexy or vulnerable while Clint Eastwood could use his voice that way to be menacing. For that famous line, "Do you feel lucky?" Marilyn gets part of the credit! Years ago there was a perfume ad campaign that said, "When you want someone's attention...whisper". It true and it works!

Some people acutally say Marilyn was fat! Um... maybe they should look at this footage to see her figure hugging outfit and actually look at her photos and movies - the woman had a knockout body! Even when she was pregnant during Some Like it Hot, she still had a wonderful shape to her!

She was definitely very slim, a current size 2-4 maybe a 6
I know because I’m between a size 2-4 depending on the shop and I am a tiny slim woman, just the same as Marilyn is tiny and slim

@@puurrrr nah, a woman is meant to be however the fuck she is born. A woman isn’t meant to be any way, that’s like saying a men needs to be born strong with abs and many of y’all are limpy, wimpy and skinny. Not attractive, but you don’t have to be attractive.
P.S. The trend (yes women’s body is a trend for some reason and continues to be) in the 60s-80s was curvy women. She looks great for the trend. Curvy. Curvy isn’t fat

As she says "gravity catches up..my time hasn't come..." gives you a sense that she had optimism of living old age...that means if we yearn to live old...sometimes we end up dying young instead...scary

Marilyn Monroe is a movie/character persona. Norma Jeane Mortenson is the beautiful woman behind the character. She was aware of the 'dumb' act and how people perceive her in media.

interesting to see the woman in black in the background not at all excited to be so close to MM and in fact seems rather disapproving in the way she's staring at Marilyn
It's easy to forget the 50's were very conservative and religious and Marilyn was often spoken to badly by people in public
hence her famous remark "they think it's happening to your clothes"

Maybe she was too humble...she had no solid identity grip, ..it s like being in th world but not from th world...specially when th father figure is totally unknown..
I can t even imagine it..
she lovd th attention people gave her and confused it with love..or at least, zthat filled in that need for being seen, for a while
people just feel attracted to Her, ..but that hasnt a thing to do with but with a lack of self love, as well...
We re all craving for attention...because, as kids, who felt recognized..valued seeing? It s so sad to be a child...for a child that s something so great inside something so small
