Chivas USA was created as the sister club to famous Mexican club Chivas de Guadalajara. However, unlike Chivas de Guadalajara, the USA subsidiary lasted for only 10 disastrous years before folding.

I attended mostly all of the Chivas USA games . They were phenomenal. They had an all star team once and it was amazing. Galindo !!! Razov !!! Panchito !!! Suarez !! Sacha !!! Marsch !!! The bald goal keeper , i forgot his name . But we kicked butt . It was a shame to let it die …

The disaster started by choosing a corny ass liga mx team name. Seriously no creativity in the mls. Half the teams in the mls say FC, SC, or united 🙄

Isn’t that what ALL teams in Europe do? Sadly the football world frowns on original names. MLS used to have great names but most teams rebranded. You still have the earthquakes, Galaxy, fire, and Dynamo though.
