You are SUCH an excellent teacher...I love how willing you are to share your knowledge! The amount of detail you provide (in my opinion) is far superior to others I have watched. I find quite a few who seem to make generic videos and if you want the details you have to go to their paid site. I'm not saying they aren't good ones like you, I'm just saying I am super impressed and very grateful for the explanation of nuances you so generously provide. I am a newbie and not ready to start yet, but when I do, I am sure the knowledge you've shared will help eliminate a lot of the angst, frustration and common failures encountered. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Good Morning from the U.S. I started making CPS in October 2023 and have it down. Now, I am getting into liquid soap. I have watched many tutorials, and yours seems to fit me well. I will be making this 7-31-24. I will come back to let you know how it turned out. Wish me luck. Brian

You did a great job on your video, and it is wonderful having someone from New Zeadland doing it. I make solid bars but want to try this. Do you work your fragrance on the totoal weight of water and paste. Does it still thicken as it gets colder.😅
Some fragrances make it thick like tonka, vanilla or cashmere but some zesty ones make it thin. I’m actualian Australian but my ancestors were from the Scotland highlands and then they migrated to New Zealand where my great grandmother was from
GLORIA, you are an angel. Thank you so much. I love the fact that you showed us the website. Is your book printed as a hardcopy? Can I get it on amazon?
I'm new to soaping, and I loved the video, it has been so helpful. Could this be used for a liquid laundry? If not, could you recommend a video or recipe? Thank you - DC
I’ve been thinking to make liquid soap, but seems so much more complicated than what I’ve been doing with cp and hp soap making. I recently came by a bunch of potassium hydroxide by a company mistake, they were suppose to have sent sodium hydroxide. Anyway since I have all of this potassium I thought I’d go ahead and give liquid soap a go. I watched Elly’s Everyday, she also has a great video. I loved your video and I appreciate that you shared about your mistake with the x-gum. Thank also for sharing another person’s UA-cam channel to watch, Soy and Shea😊 I do have a question, if the liquid soap becomes too thick what can be done? Do we just add a little water until it thins out, or is it necessary to use heat as well?
Add water but keep it warm so it blends better. Elle everyday is amazing and after watching her i started. You may find your own things that work. I now use sodium lactate to thicken it
Elly and Keeley are fabulous aren't they! I love liquid soap but have never made it before. Think I might be able to give this one a go, thank you so much for sharing! Does it need to be kept warm while doing the blitzing? Or could it be done in a food processor? I have used a 1:5 ratio of soap to water in a foam pump bottle as a hand wash and it's lovely (it didn't have the xantham so was quite thin). Have a great day :)
Thanks so much for sharing, ive come back to soapmaking after a long hiatus and ive learnt so much. I dont have Olive, what could i replace it with...plenty of baobab in my part of the world.
This recipe is not for detergent as the shea and cocoa butter is a creamy butter oil. You would need to remove butters and up the coconut to create a cleasing recipe.
If you already have a hard soap bar recipe that you love, could you use all the oils and butters from that same hard bar recipe and use it for liquid soap? Plugging everything into the calculator using KOH? Would you have the same qualities of your hard bar but in liquid form now?
Very good. Happy I found your video. May I ask at what point do you turn your crock from high to low? Also the xatham gum - is it the one for baking? Just want to be sure
I love love this video and I have made it and I am so happy. Thank you for sharing. One question: after it has been sitting for a couple days there is a separation at the bottom. The soap seems to have risen up and there is a clearer liquid at the bottom. Is this normal? Do I just siphon off the soap at the top? Thank you - Mo

@@mauricebecneljr3604 it’s ok I always try to message everyone back. The most important mixing time is the paste time as that can really make or break the recipe. Some fragrances may not be perfect just like when making bar soap. Did you use the glycerin? As that does help it not to seperate too
