I will NEVER forget this performance. I did see it live. I was in jail in Texas and in a dorm style holding. I’ll never forget because everyone was doing their own thing, being loud as fuck, of course, but as soon as she started singing it got completely silent... everyone was completely captivated. They were taken back by this RAW talent. Idk if anyone notices that the acoustic guitar players are actually watching her very closely to make sure they hit the notes right as she is singing. This is literally one of the greatest performances that SNL has EVER had. Hands the fuck down!

goes to show its not as much auto tune as you may think...that's why she sounds just as good if not better live...most artists use some auto tune when they record just to polish the vocals more...I personally don't think she uses enough to alter her voice in a negative way...

nope it's harder to sing sitting down. because you're putting pressure on your diaphragm. which is extremely important when singing!! if singing sitting down was easier. trust me a lot of artist would do it. but even when they sing sitting down. they're rarely sitting down all the way.
For some singers it's easier to stand and sing and for some singers it's easier to sit and sing

Okay everyone else has talked about how great Miley really is but can I just say I love how much fun they all seem to be having. They're all smiling and vibing. I think that's one of Miley's gifts, she's really charismatic. Take the Roots + Jimmy Fallon version, those guys are always just jamming their hearts out having fun and she made them seem almost bored.

She was never Hannah Montana. She played her on tv, and off tv, there was this Miley, behind the stage and the glam. Anyone recall when she posed with a towel over her? The Myspace photos? She's been wild and different that her show the whole time, but its when she went away, thats when people started to judge. Has Miley ever presented the same version of this song twice? I'm amazed at how adaptable it's been: the original studio version, the a cappella version with Jimmy Fallon and the Roots, the hard rock version at the Final Four concert this year, and now I dig up this intimate acoustic version which I never knew existed before. If you could do a mime version of We Can't Stop, I have no doubt Miley would do it and crush that interpretation, too.

Okay, she may not be the most perfect person out there, but nobody is. Nobody is FORCED to watch her performances or music videos. She's an artist, someone who does what she does to those WANT to listen to her music and watch her performances. She has an amazing voice and she is influential by those who talk about her, not just the good but the criticisms too, that's what she does, no matter how good or bad it is, she's iconic in the sense that people will immediately talk about it. She makes amazing music and can sing live. Her music still has meaning and unlike some artists, she is an INDIVIDUAL, not a copy of someone else.

Calpall She's on of my idols. My first one. I've loved her since she first started. And i finally get to see her live for her tour next month. Any way she might not be the best in your opinion. But it just depends on first of all who you are and how you see her. Her fans and Smilers know her better than the people who just watch what they see of her on tv or by the stupid media and the people who judge what she wears. I love her for who she is as a person. She's change but in away she's still the same. Sort of the same personality fun, carefree, and kind and loving. But has like ADD or something I forgot but now she's a perfectionist. She works hard and she's not doing it for the money. She's doing it for herself and for her fans. After everything she's gone through she is pretty brave and i find her more real than most of the Disney stars (when she was on) that are singers like Selena or Demi. So she is a good idea just depends on on how you see her. The eye of the beholder or some saying like that.
