- We visited the Westonbirt Arboretum in June, but I never got round to uploading the video, so here is a little "extra" from our Meetup Tour.

"Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, is located in Gloucestershire, three miles from the Cotswold market town of Tetbury.
The historic, Victorian picturesque landscape and internationally important tree and shrub collection is managed by the Forestry Commission and supported by the Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum.
The 15,000 labelled trees (around 2,500 different types of tree) come from Britain, China, North America, Japan, Chile and other temperate climates. Planting started in the 1850s by Robert Holford; the rich Victorian landowner to whom the Westonbirt estate belonged."

Great place to visit, it’s about 30 mins down the road from us been there many times take photos and videos, I had the same trouble with the entrance card. Great video brought back some great memories.

Lovely place Bob we must have a go thanks. I bet it's a right show in the Autumn. The large carvings reminds us of when we bought our van, the chap was a chainsaw carver of some renown from Norfolk. He was making twine from nettles when we arrived. He showed us his portfolio which was amazing. He did commissions all over Europe as well.

That horse fly ....not nice ,down my way in Dorset we have the Blandford fly,simular but twice the size.
It's a blood sucking orrible thing ,which left a severe infection and years on a dent in my ankle never to be forgotten.

Lovely place to walk your dog but £10 each thought that was a bit steep if there was some lovely gardens and flowers to view then yes but there was nothing there to justify £20

I agree Liz, bit expensive. Bob when you say 'seniors' is that 60 plus? We were in Barcelona 2 years ago and allowed into a museum for free due to our age - Terracotta warriors, much larger exhibition than the Liverpool show. Age does have some benefits
