  • Wardens - Episode 13: Operation Wolf Creek | Outdoor Documentary
    Watch the next episode of 'Wardens' here: • Wardens: Operation Gri...
    In this episode:
    Wardens patrol the Wolf Creek area of Montana for illegal hunting activity. Elsewhere, Wardens conduct a mule deer decoy operation.
    When your job is protecting our most precious natural resources in some of the nation’s most remote areas, there is rarely a dull moment. Wardens chronicles the lives of Conservation Officers in America. The show features the men and women who protect public lands, from ride-alongs on interstate game checks, to anti-poaching sting operations; from remote snowmobile trails in grizzly bear country, to unforgiving white-water rapids. While the focus of Wardens is enforcement of regulations, the show takes special precautions to ensure the general public understand those who would violate the rules are the minority and the vast majority of encounters with our Wardens are law-abiding citizens.

    Warden Brian Goalie is one of the wardens I'd hate to meet. He sees a guy walking to his dead dads camp, stops him, questioned him and checked his equipment. Acts concerned about the tough walk the guy still has and says I'll check on you later. Then proceeded to sneek up on the cabin not once but two days in a row and not make contact just peep on him like a creeper. He has all these conspiracy theories and assumes the guy is a violator, or a danger to others but the guy just needed to go to his dads camp and relax and see if he can see an elk or two. Just to have this officer mess with him. When he finally makes contact he blasts him with a loud speaker when the guy is trying see animals. Still thinks he is doing something wrong as he drives away and feels it's odd for a guy to be happy and buoyant alone in woods. What a doink.

      That was my thought exactly! If that guy bought an elk tag that night the officer would be guilty of "hunter harassment" for just calling to bother him.

    Here in Western Washington on the Olympic Penninsula the state has no jurisdiction over our hunting and fishing rights , the tribe regulates and enforces our hunting and fishing regulations and there was one game warden who hated the indians and thier hunting seasons and commercial fishing seasons and used to harass tribal members which wasn't good for state and tribal cooperations in the government format , they ended up transferring that warden clear across the state of Washington to keep him from harassing the tribal members , the way these wardens are treating citizens is uncalled for and those communities should be starting petitions and mske them follow thier own code of conduct

    DNR / Wardens in Wv went on private prooerties without warrants nor permission searched for anything illegal then requested warrants. I think they have too much power and most are power hungry and proving it to whoever they want.

    • @TheRaghorn
      @TheRaghorn 7 місяців тому

      Yes, they can come on private property in many states and dont need a warrant, But they can not come into your house, open your trunk or bed of truck, or tent without your permission without a warrant. I have walked that road and told them to shove it twice in the past while hunting from a tent out west.

I have an odd ball cousin that if he showed to my property, well more than one odd ball cousin. I’d hope someone checked in on them. Then contacted me. Yes the warden is checking for poaching, but he also gave him water and asked if he had food. Also, bro showed up walking from wherever. Which is legal, but odd. This isn’t a college town. Me and this Goldfish warden would not get along. I would be all over him for his actions. You cant be stalking people because you assume they could be dangerous or confused why they would be using a elk call out of season or even in season. The guy was 100% honest with him, but just like 99% of all wardens, they want to somehow find a way to give you a ticket. If I was calling from the road, and he would come up and treated me this way.. I sure would not be as humble as this guy. His ears and his mothers ears would be ringing for a month. LOL.
