I love more dramatic eye makeup. I don’t care what’s trending now or not. But I guess that’s why I’ll rather watch smaller UA-cam Chanels those days like Angelica niqvist’s, she plays with colorful eyeshadow like no other!! 😍
The best swatches I have seen of this palette. So many others showed washed out swatches, with yours I can actually see the colors! Thank you! 🎉 Love the kitty! 🐈
15:20 Totally agree with you, Maryam. I have an olive undertone and I *always* look more green when I wear yellow-green colors. I think of Kermit! So I prefer to stick to cooler (more blue) greens. :) 💞Thx for your fun overview!
Both looks are 🔥🔥🔥 And I will totally copy them👌 I'm so happy to hear you point out the intelligence of ND's colour stories...which is 💯 why she is one of my absolute favourites❤
I completely agree that the trend seems to be to either one and done eyeshadow looks or just mascara. I still like to do a full eye look, but I don’t really care what the trends are.
As always love the eye look. Greens really make your brown eyes pop. Screw trends, rock that look out in the world. I have hazel eyes, blues really make my eyes pop, so this palette doesn’t speak to me, but I did just receive the retro glam palette. ☺️
I really, really like those colors, it's different, I am a one & done eyeshadow, i don't have time to blend and my makeup have to last all day, just quick oil control look 😅 but i could have this one in my 4 pallettes collection 😊❤
Loved your review and straight to the point views on the colour story ❤ Would love to see more of the wearable looks and potentially if it can be used along with other ND midi sized palette... Eg. the retro and bronze palettes pair well together
I used Sisley single shadows in combinations of 2 most of the time, but this Yucca palette was first Natasha Denona palette I ever bought - because of the color story. The colors look much darker and saturated on my medium-toned peachy skin. They demand me to wear greenish--brownish-yellow outfit. The Sisley eyeshadows just illuminated my face, but this palette is more like runway fashion - not very comfy, but still very enticing.
Stunning as ALWAYS ❤ the way you explain thing's just mesmerises me your voice is so soothing i just adore you!! This was a beautiful look i need the palette and the eyeliners 🔥 also your fur baby just wow 😢🥰🐈 he reminds me of a lynx absolutely beautiful
In my country Colombia, Yuca is a tuber 😂 very cheap and traditional in the Caribbean. A delicious food that you just boil and eat with fresh salty cheese or something similar to sour cream
The name pronounce exactly like you did and is from the root vegetables. There are vegetables that we eat in the Caribbean. Delicious by the way! 🤤 Thank you for your review!😍
I am still into eyeshadow like I was in 2019. I haven't been purchasing nearly as many palettes this year simply because I can't spend money on things I probably already have lol. I still love doing bold looks with multiple shadows though.
Hey Maryam! I'm all in! I love this color story and I will definitely be picking it up. I know that there are a few different ways to pronounce the name of this palette. I've known it for the plants. Hummingbirds love the flowers. The dramatic look you created is gorgeous! Would be an amazing look to wear for a concert or the club. I'd try to recreate the look you created today 🙌❤️🎉 See you soon Gorgeous!
It's not the same plant, but they were mistaken for one another. The Yuca root, also called Manioc in French, is consumed in the Carribean and in Africa. But when the Yucca plant was given its name, it was mistaken for the same plant that produces the Yuca root. They are from two different species altogether.
Ok that tiny blending brush that you used and called “sculpt #29”… what is the brand name?!?! I tried googling it and I can’t find it anywhere and I need that in my life!!!
*Those Color's 😳 Musturd And All Those Green's Look Kinda Dusty To Me, Which Is Better 🤔 This Pallet Or ND Gold Pallet?? (Looks The Same) Thanks In Advance* 🦋
I still love doing eyeshadow looks for events/nights out. Although I’m preferring neutral looks instead of color lately. Maybe that’s also just me maturing and becoming a mom 😂 Definitely doing little to no eyeshadow for daytime tho! Really like the current trend of focusing on skin. But with that said I LOVE all the ND palettes so I’ll probably be getting this 😅
Is that why olive eyeshadows make me look jaundiced? They make my coloring look weird and make my eyes look yellow (instead of white). I might have an olive undertone? I never thought of that. 🤦🏻♀️
Oh Maryam, here is the correct pronunciation. 😂 First, Yuca is the root vegetable, similar to a potato. However, a Yucca plant is a beautiful palm fern which blooms beautiful white flowers, called "yucca flowers." And Yucca is pronounced like the word "yuck." Go on, try to say it, "YUCK-KA." I don't know why you and other folks are having a problem with this word. It's a really beautiful fern plant, planted outdoors, it can bloom very big and has a California desert type of vibe or you can grow it indoors as a container plant. How do people not know this? It's actually a very common house plant. Do people not furnish their apartments and homes with house plants anymore? I even love how the physical palette compact has the shadow of a yucca ferm plant on it, that's very cool! Whoever did the art design for the palette, kudos to that person. It's a very beautiful palette and I love the color story. Can't wait to get mine in the next couple of days in the mail. Now Maryam, if we can only get you to pronounce "versatile" correctly like an American and not like a Brit. Hey, Maryam, it's all in fun. 😉😃✌🏻 Oh, and did the swatch model have the day off today?
Oh Kelly, English is a learnt language for me, cut me some slack lol.. 😂 My mom had a Yucca house plant back when I was a kid, we pronounced it how I said it... But I did google the American way, I just can't bring myself to say "yucka" 😂😂😂 Wait, what's wrong with how I say "versatile"? Is there more than one way?? 😂❤️
@@MaryamMaquillage Hi, there! Yes, I asked you before if you lived in the U.K., because you have said "ver-sa-TILE" like the words "ceiling tile." In the U.K. they say "ver-sa-TILE," but in the U.S., we say " "ver-sa-TILL." When you say "versa-TILE", it reminds me of when Madonna lived in the UK and all of a sudden, without explanation, she had acquired this affected English accent overnight. 😂😂😂 I'm NOT saying you're fake, but just saying that word is something I pick up on when I listen to you. Maybe it's a west coast/east coast thing schooling thing. 😉✌🏻

And the eyeshadow looked great, too!
thank you so much!! he's my babyyyyyy
spot on about complimentary tones, I'm a medium olive and look much better in pink/purples than more yellow-green
Oooooh I love this palette so much 😢🎉 all of those shimmers MY GOD get on my eyelids immediately
I would LOOOOVE if you could show a few looks that are more current/wearable with this palette!!!
The best swatches I have seen of this palette. So many others showed washed out swatches, with yours I can actually see the colors! Thank you! 🎉 Love the kitty! 🐈

THIS LOOKS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!
Yes I would totally do the 2nd look for daytime…I’m a few years behind fashion-wise😅
You’re perfect! 😘😘
The second look is stunning!!! 😍😍😍
Love the crease work in the dramatic look 😍😍😍

Wow, you are SLAYING this look! 🤩😻
You look SO stunning 😊❤ beautiful look!!!
The night time look is definitely a favourite by far 🥰 is there any colour you can’t pull off ?? You just look stunning every single time
I didn’t like the color story at first but I ended up LOVING this palette!!! 😍😍

I still find eyeshadow palettes interesting tbh but then again I am in love with makeup since forever!😍
Love these colours on you!!! That palette looks absolutely gorgeous!
Awwww, miss the Swatch model, but, your looks are gorgeous! ❤
But my Hero boiiii made an appearance 😻😻

Woooah....these looks make your brown eyes really pop❤❤❤❤❤
Girl, the look you created was beautiful. You're very talented
That pink on the cheeks did it. Balanced everything out
riiiight?!
I usually do peachy/orange blush with a warm green or olive moon but I LOVED the pink cheek! I’ll do pink next!
the second look is just wow :D so beautiful and it suits you !!

I still love eyeshadow palettes…mean i love all makeup 😝 anyways loved both looks & that 2nd look is 🔥 so sexy & sultry like you stated.
The citrine was a pop! ❤🐥
I love the look you created with the palette! 💕 Although I love the color scheme, idk that it’s for me.
In my country Colombia, Yuca is a tuber 😂 very cheap and traditional in the Caribbean. A delicious food that you just boil and eat with fresh salty cheese or something similar to sour cream
Yes I love eating it like that too!! Puerto Ricans make it like that here in the States 😻
Love these colors/story. Not into the ND price tag, so going to combine these colors from similar palettes! ❤
Love the look ! Even in today's world
Awwwww❤❤❤OMGOSH U have a Orange MaineCoon kitty Gorgeous!!!!!!! 😊❤❤🎉❤❤🎉
Like the look. Thanks for the review.

But when the Yucca plant was given its name, it was mistaken for the same plant that produces the Yuca root. They are from two different species altogether.
Ok yucca is the flower and yuca is the actual root. Yuca is a indigenous word I think but the name ppl know it as is cassava.
That's correct, if you look closely, the pallette has the shades of colors of the yucca plant. Beautiful indeed.
So are yuca fries from the same plant? Is all I want to know 🤣🤤
@@MaryamMaquillage 🤣🤣🤣 no, they are not the same. Yucca is cousins with succulents, but the yuca roots that we cook, the plant is different.
The looks look great on you. It’s just not for me
But sound yuca better than yucca...and in the caribbean countries its yuca part of the food...weird selection of name
It’s pronounced ucca if you look into the pronunciation of the plant in that country. And Natasha says it on her video of the pallet x
Ok that tiny blending brush that you used and called “sculpt #29”… what is the brand name?!?! I tried googling it and I can’t find it anywhere and I need that in my life!!!
Sculpt is the brand name. This was a collab with my girl Ash K Holm
Sorry! Sculpt by Spectrum
You are the yucca prinsess for sure!
I love this eye look. I'd likely make it bigger and bolder because I can't help myself 😅 while you'd tone it down for going out and about lol.
I hear you!!!
More looks please 👍
I’m definitely first 🎉❤
Whoe! Girl!
My daughter said that is the cutest cat in the whole wide world
aawww tell her I said thank youuuuu!!
Well here in CA there is an area in the desert called Yucca Valley which we pronounce it “yuck-ah”
Love your sweet Maine Coon baby❤ I have a tuxedo myself. Thank you for your review

It’s YUK A. We have them all over Az. I never clicked so FAST ! it’s different and I really love the colors. Let’s see what #Teamtruth says
I love eyeshadow palettes but I have to admit nowadays one, sometimes two, colors on eyelids is fine with me unlike before the pandemic
Im not into gold or olives, Im more of a silvers and cool tone person so this palette isn’t for me, but the look you created is really pretty
I’ve only heard it pronounced like an “uh” here in Arizona they are abundant.
I don't like these shadows bc I have green eyes. Looks fabulous on u ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love💚💛
The palette is gorgeous and beautiful makeups look! Im not buying it since I know I'll use 1 or 2 shades from this!
Your cat is extraordinary
Thank youuuuuu!!!!
❤❤
Yuca is how we call it in PR..!
Das right!! 😘😘
I still have a huge interest in eyeshadow palettes. It was absolutely leaked.

My eyeshadow palette burn out is real. Real real. After a while, it's just more colors that you'll probably never use.
yesssss...i kinda feel you on that fr fr

quite possibly
Yuca roots, we know them as cassava
Please tell me your cats name is Ron Perlman.
His name is Hero 😻 but why Ron Perlman lol..
Beautiful look! I think I'm going to pass on this palette....while these colors look beautiful on others, I'm not a green person.
Your cat is just like little lion😮
YEsssss, but he's a gentle giant ❤️

Just not going to pay over 50.00 for a eyeshadow palette. Prices are crazy now
Yuca is the root, Yucca (yucka) is the plant
Eyeshadow palettes have definitely become less relevant in my everyday makeup routine
