Naeem Butt, a former Pakistani player, former television actor and a practicing Islamic scholar. His dream has been to discover the true art on how to attract people towards the deen of Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'ala so that they can just "take" it. He believes that Islam hasn't been presented to the society in the right manner as it should have been, for in reality, it is nothing but a beautiful and peaceful religion. His mission is to simplify and beautify the word of Allah and present it to the people ahead.
At the age of 30, while performing Hajj in Makkah Mukarramah, Naeem decided to actively participate in tableegh. It was during this time that he met Maulana Tariq Jameel, who congratulated him on choosing the right path and performing Hajj. However, Maulana also advised him not to return to the drama industry upon his return home. This unexpected advice caught Naeem off guard, as his intention had only been to perform Hajj, not to leave acting. Maulana Tariq Jameel explained that Hajj is the concept of completely turning your life around. It means means to change. To change yourself.
This conversation sparked curiosity in Naeem, leading him to ask a troubling question: how would he earn his livelihood? Maulana Tariq Jameel responded with another question which was yet to change his entire perspective: "Do you eat halal or haram?" Naeem admitted that he didn't know much of the stats, but from hearing it from other people continuously and constantly, he knew his earnings were haram. Finding the bullseye, Maulana Sahab posed the final question that turned all the wheels inside Naeem's head, "If you earn through haram and Allah still provides for you, would He abandon you if you earn through halal?"
This logical reasoning resonated with Naeem, prompting him to reconsider his path. He stood on the plain of Arafat, and took full opportunity to speak to Allah Rabbul Izzat, to share his feelings, and seek strength from Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'ala.
During this transformative period, another mentor, Maulana Syed Ahmed Khan [RA], upon exiting Roza Mubarak in Madinah on a wheelchair, met Naeem and invited him to dinner with Maulana Tariq Jameel. Upon learning of Naeem’s decision to leave the drama industry and his repentance, Maulana Syed Ahmed Khan held Naeem's hand and reassured him in Urdu, "Allah aaj kal eik saal sai zyada nehi aazmaya kartay," meaning, "Allah does not test anyone for more than a year these days." This encouragement gave Naeem the strength that he needed.
Emboldened by the support and wisdom of his mentors, Naeem Butt embarked on his journey of truthfulness and the Oneness of Allah, fully committing to his new path.
