Imagine waiting a whole year for Sora to finally release their website, just to end up getting destroyed by something we haven’t even heard of that is already on number 2.
I do agree, Tim. Prompt battles can be pointless,, except maybe over large datasets - where you can get an idea of particular traits of a gen app. Love ya work!
Man Veo 2 seems really impressive, this is what I expected Sora was going to be. Love all the competition in the AI video space right now, that means we are going to get better models alot faster. Love that KLING AI released a version 1.6 today just to say "Hay we are still here also" :D
I find it quite funny when something that looks impressive arrives, the answer to the big questions are often "Yes...but also no." It definitely seems impressive, on par with many of the previews and papers we've seen in the past. When the output is great it could easily pass for real footage.
Yeah, the hype cycle can get a bit overblown. I’d say if you were just looking at the newsfeeds, you’d expect all the major studios to shut down tomorrow. It’s one of the things that I try to highlight on the channel always: it looks good. It’s also wonky, but it’s also amazing. Plus, my bad jokes. That’s important!
Yea, I'm doing some visuals for PC case design in ImageFX, and some (not all) are f'in OUTSTANDING. Like miles ahead of most, and is beating MJ in prompt adherance. I'm kind of talking to it like it's an LLM in the prompt, and it's just DOING IT. It's really awesome.
A lot of the studios are working on trying to get ahead of the curve and implement it. Kind of think: Napster to Itunes to Spotify. Our job is to keep those walls down.
Yeah, probably on their next big update/push, I’ll do a deeper dive in. To be honest, I’m still getting my feet wet here. Although I’ve blasted out more than 100 videos at this point! But; shall do!
You're right about prompt battles. I created a list of my best prompts from one tool. When I tried to use them in another tool, the results were not good. Even tough the second tool had created better videos for me in the past.
Yeah, that whole era of "This vs That" was played out from day one. I think I did it once on the channel, and I felt really bad about it after...since then, I just opt not to. BUT...I'm getting my money out of that $200 for Sora! haha
Sora CAN do it, but it’s “daddy” Sora which we will probably never get due to the high cost of generation. I’m not sure we actually will hit that point, only because rarely will we need a shot that long. My guess is it’ll max out around :30 sec. But, there are always tricks to extend.
Off-topic question? Do you play the guitars? There's never any content where you would check for example AI tools for real music production like ACE Studio (that is able to imitate human vocals pretty convincingly). I'm more interested in tools like that for music makers, something that works inside DAWs. Not something that creates music with 1 button press like Suno or Udio, but something that is really surgigal and helps composers to create real music on their own, but with AI assistance. Like AI mastering, AI mixing, AI midi drumming parts (which are then driven through pro grade VST drums like Superior Drummer), AI bass parts based on chords that a human guitarist has played into WAV files etc. I mean having guitars as decorative element is absolutely fine (and common on creative and video gaming channels). But since you have several and also a bass, I thought that maybe you're into it for real. I play the guitar and IMO it's a shame that most AI tools seem to aim for "press this 1 button" approach. Instead of being actual tools, that I could use to improve my workflow when creating music myself. I don't want or need AI for composing itself, but to assist me in other things. Programming drum parts is a major pain in the ***. So is mastering and mixing. It's a shame that most AI companies are not focused on tools that would actually help musicians who use DAWs, instead they go for this "write some words and press 1 button" thing, which has no use in professional/semiprofessioanl music production
Oh, 100%. Near life-long player. I was in bands, did the whole music thing. Sadly, these days I don't get as much of a chance, as all the visual AI stuff keeps me pretty busy-- but, that's also why I keep them right next to me. I generally will play a bit every day. Usually, send of a prompt, and while I'm waiting I'll grab one of the two. I have a little Spark amp right under the desk that is always ready to go. Ironically, I also have a big Fender Deville behind me as well-- but...man, by the time that thing warms up? I don't get a chance to cover much of the AI Music stuff lately, but I do know there are some things coming up soon. Closer to what you're thinking of. Like, start jamming on guitar and have an AI Drummer and Bass player accompany and react to you in real time. Like, Band in a Box on steroids. Looks like that stuff will start dropping next year. Excited about that!
@@TheoreticallyMedia That's interesting. I love the guitar, was also in bands, but currently no band. I hate doing the other instruments, my bass playing sucks too, I rather use VST basses, even when I have a 5-string. Honestly I wouldn't mind if everything was automated, except the composition and playing my own parts. Like re-rolling results measure by measure, if you don't like certain drum fill, re-roll it etc... would be a time saver. Or prompting "John Paul Jones style rock bass line, into these chords". I tried Suno but didn't find any use to it, I still think I compose better than it. But I want help for arrangements. Everything should work in MIDI, so it works with VST instruments and allows hands-on changes for each note. Otherwise it doesn't have much use
I'd say about as much as in any other platform. Around Pg-13, I'd say? Although-- some of the action scenes I've generated so far are a little more John Wick. Kinda surprising. Still, nothing TOO far out there.
Guys, I think Google Veo 2 might be probably it. I think this is the next for AI Filmmaking of Films & Cinema. We can make our films with using Google Veo 2. Or we can pick our fav film directors & also actors, & make a film that it was supposed to happen((When it was cancelled)) or a remake, or any films, really. Ya'll, imagine if we can finally see what Stanley Kubrick, wanted to do with Napoleon, & Google Veo 2 might help & show us what his true vision was for Napoleon. That would be pretty awesome.
Google forcing users to use Imagen 3 for image-to-video is very...Google and kind of lame. That's a dealbreaker for me because I use Flux 1.1 and highly doubt Imagen is better than that. IDK of any other AI video generator that doesn't let you import your own photos.
Eh, it’s early still. I mean, this is pre-release. So maybe they’re just wary of some of us going buck nuts with it and ending up in the news cycle. We’ll see as we get closer to release
Imagen 3 is great. Just too bad it's so limited in the way of censorship. If it generates something it thinks is bad then you just get nothing. Just make an adult tier. Or make it illegal for kids t use the internet all together.
I gotta say, I haven't had too many problems. It's about MJ level. Somewhere around pg-13. You sometimes have to get creative with prompting. Like, that's not a dead guy-- he's just napping. Yeah, that's it...just taking a nap with some ketchup stains on his shirt.
It's SUPER early. Give it some time. Like I said, this is more of an early look at where the model is right now. If anything, I wanted to showcase some of the more morphy results to temper expectations and cut down on the FOMO.
Haha, a YTer with like 3 million subs once told me: The more cringe the thumbnail, the better the video does. I hate it too...but that dude was not wrong.
Am I the only one who is currently more excited every time Tim drops a video vs anything anyone else is making?
Imagine waiting a whole year for Sora to finally release their website, just to end up getting destroyed by something we haven’t even heard of that is already on number 2.
🤣🤣
RiGHT?!
😂🤣😂🤣 underatted
yep, Veo-ctory is google’s for now lol

1.6 is really good too! I was playing with it right before I got Veo access! I’ll do a video with it soon!
Tim, my main reporter-guy. For all things AI!
Good work.
Appreciate that! Love putting on my reporter hat!
I find it quite funny when something that looks impressive arrives, the answer to the big questions are often "Yes...but also no."

Yeah, it’s really impressive. To be totally honest, I was sleeping on it until Veo made me swing over to try it! I’m sold!
5:41 Noooo it hubspot will never forget their crazy contract broken tools and ruthless methods of collecting sheesh!
Veo 2 is number 1 for sure right now. I just hope that they do image to video to original photos
It's not number 1 until we all get access to it and all are able to try it. For now it's behind the vip privileged wall and nothing more.
I wonder what will happen to Hollywood in 5 years when AI video generators are developing so rapidly?
A lot of the studios are working on trying to get ahead of the curve and implement it. Kind of think: Napster to Itunes to Spotify.
Our job is to keep those walls down.
11:15 "Omg I'm trapped on this tropica ...... oh no wait never mind there is quite literally a whole city behind me"
Haha, thank god there's a bar right here, I need a drink!
Funny, I think the alley is the same one with the Noir Detective!
Please do a video on how it handles all the different type of camera movement shots.
Yeah, probably on their next big update/push, I’ll do a deeper dive in. To be honest, I’m still getting my feet wet here. Although I’ve blasted out more than 100 videos at this point! But; shall do!

Imagen 3 is arguably the best overall image generator right now. It strikes a great balance between imagination and strict prompt adherence.
😮 lemme watch, didnt get access yet
Millions of thanks for the video.
How long do you think we are away from 60 second clips?

Guess Sora continues to be kicked in the face even after finally being released.
Haha, I still need to dig a little further into Sora. I was there today-- it's getting...faster? So, there's that.
@@TheoreticallyMediaYea but why play on the PS3 when you have the PS5 Pro
I think people are too quick to call Sora’s defeat. There are still some use cases that only Sora can handle right now!
To be honest, I think Sora massive secret weapon is V2V. Combined with their cut/blend features? It’s a powerhouse
Thank you, Tim. On top of your game.
Thank you so much!! Man, it's been a WEEK!
clearly Veo is the 🏆. thanks for showing

Can't wait for video to video with GTA5 material and other games transforming to photo realism.
this already has been going on
How much does it cost?
How fast is it?
Is it more censored than Kling?
Unknown for now. And id say it about PG-13 level?
You get the new toys early........... nice!!!
i've been on the waitlist for like 9 months and they never gave me access... how do y'all get access?
A friend of a friend asked me to ask you if there is censorship in Veo.
I'd say about as much as in any other platform. Around Pg-13, I'd say? Although-- some of the action scenes I've generated so far are a little more John Wick. Kinda surprising.

Maybe in three years we'll get to use it.
I think early 2025. Feb maybe?
Some videos look blurry. What resolution are they?
Imagen2 was really no fun compared to Dall-E-3 -- for my dicking around/absurdist humor/one-upping my buddies use cases.
3 is a big jump up. To be honest, I wasn’t a big fan of Imagen2. Haha, honestly that’s the reason I never covered it on the channel!
2:38
Slightly Tom Cruisesque there 🤔
Great video! I also requested access, and I’m sure they’ll grant it to me too. 😊😊 I hope to be as lucky as you!
High recommend to join the Discord. When they drop the candy, it's usually there first!
@@TheoreticallyMedia am there too

Speaking of Open AI.........will they ever give us a Dall-E 4????
how do i get access...im about to cry....do i need to sacrifice a goat
Haha. Hop in that Discord!
I would not trust that program if they give me access. I requested access to see if they are serious enough.
hit up the Discord!
If Google Veo is released, goodbye Chinese AI that I hate 😅 It looks like Google Veo will be integrated with UA-cam later ❤❤
10:04 are all 5 men, brothers?
We waited for over a year for SORA...and then they gave us $200 month AI slop....R.I.P. SORA 😂🤣😅
google is spamming some breakthough they made in everything.
Sora bore-a

Making the internet illegal for underaged means you'd have to verify your identity. Sounds like full serveillance in my book.
How can it be #1 if nobody but special testers got to try it??

Talk about a reach by hubspot with their value pitch. Junk
Great to see that all those billions of youtube videos finally make sense (as training data).
There's an opt out in UA-cam. I just got that notification. Seem to me (for this channel at least), it'd be hypocritical for me to not let them.
@@TheoreticallyMediaAs far as I know you only can opt out for 3rd party training. No word about their own training.
sadly the waitlist is only for people with "relevant work related to video generation"
