In a democratic country the head of state must never display his religious identity. While he may practice his religion he must not propagate any religion. The inauguration of a religious monument is the responsibility of the religious leaders not politicians. Unfortunately the Ram temple is being made a political event by the BJP this will never promote Hinduism it can only contribute to damaging Hinduism.
Especially in a country like India which is secular, enshrined in the Constitution. The pronounced religious inclination goes against the Constitution.

People who use such defense tactics are a blotch to their own religion. If a pope is criticized for the patriarchy in Catholic practice, he should admit it and correct it.
