Great project. Enjoyed the build. NOTE: By having your blowers aimed about 45º down, you're giving up about half of your potential forward thrust. Try mounting them in a way that keeps them fairly level. Thanks again for the entertainment 👍
Can't talk myself into buying wood for my projects so I get on UA-cam and watch other people buy wood.
They still charge u to watch wood purchases right now. So head to lowes and pay up lol
Nice here the same
I just go around towns looking for building projects and ask around for waste wood for them
But gold to me
And often free
Qualiti varys from time built and recources used and also the finnesse whilst being taken apart or ripped
Spoke too soon?? Home Depot just knocked on my door asking me to pay up for watching this vid
I own same blower , glad to see it being used as its true intended purpose
Yea...my dad called him a fu**ing idiot...I say brilliant only I'm using a gsxr 1000 motor on mine
I like watching your videos because you’re always livening life to the fullest
The Home Depot. The toystore for big kids. Love 'em.
I'd totally watch a longer video of the, browsing through the store. It's a hobby in itself. xD
With that much amps going through the switch, relays would have been better as you probably lost a lot of power going through just one switch. then instead of pushing down on the ice, your rudder blowers should have been blowing horizontally instead of downwards.
I am inspired by Sparrow & Abby to stay cute and always have fun! Adorable!
Your trajectory of air is forcing your front end down instead of forward .
Sometimes I feel like we are buddies even though we've never met and we are on different continents but I know so much about you and Greg Ovens which makes me feel like we are a family.
I am glad to see Chris in your videos again. I know he has been in the videos for a while now, but I thought it was temporary. Glad to see you are friends during the lows and highs. He brings some extra positive energy to the videos. Love your channel and thank you for your dedication! Full stop always and forever! (If you know what I mean) ❤️
Enjoy all these crazy ideas! The best part is just having fun while making things!
For me, the highlight was at the end, with your daughters. They are ADORABLE!
It's so cool how you included them. Love the channel!
I like how you prayed with your youngens before trying it out, just don't see enough of it anymore.
back in the very late 80's, I ordered instructions on how to make one of these, from a Boy Scouts' Boy's Life magazine... back before the internet was a household thing. it used the motor from a shop vac, rather than a few leaf blowers.... and cost a lot less, from what I heard from this video.
That said.... this was hilarious! Thanks for making and sharing this vid! Especially on the office chair, with the leaf blowers.... Too Funny!!!
Well, I was doupting it would work, but you made it working! Pretty impressing, great work!
Great fun you guys had! Your kids will forever remember the day "you made them fly!!" 😀🥳💪
When using a underrated switch, switch the negative side. Learn this when I started building vape mods. It works.
Sorry Robert, that does not make electronic sense. The current flow in the positive and negative leads will be equal.
O yeah it's going to be a great weekend starting with this video and
Superbowl this weekend let's go!!!
Great video! Love all the warranties you voided. Did you try to turn the propulsion blowers 180° so it was more linear to the direction you are going. Should work better on smoother ice too.
My man you are doing a great service to your beautiful daughter’s involving them in your antics! Well done sir!👍🏻
You will have so many stories to tell your grandchildren
Well said and thought... Kids will get bored by 15 with all of his shenanigans...🤦😂
That little girl already is inspiring. Your daughter's faith inspires me.
Great video 👍. Nothing is a failure, it's a learning curve 👍. So you don't make the same mistakes, as we only have One Chance at Life 🙂. Cos if you don't try, you will never know 👍
True. A chance not taken is the only failure! It may take 1000s of chances to reach success, but only one missed chance can be a failure.
You guys are knuckleheads, love it.
Inspired me to learn how to throw a shovel I will forever be grateful for that
While not perfect yet, Fowler's efforts motivates many
yes put a big fan on it , would be so sick m8
The girls were adorable and the life of the party🥳
32:37 "wERE GOING TO THE MOON!" He's holding GME...
Planning planning planning is really the secrete to success.
teacher: so girls, what did you do yesterday?
girls: we were driving a hovercraft.
Girls will have amazing memories from childhood :)
The haters would say that is is bad and sunk 100 times and they just edited it out but I'm not a hater, I even subbed!!
Saw this posted on Facebook by a local radio station. I would've NEVER found this channel if it wasn't for them. Keep being Maine af bro❤
Yes we want a pt 2 with a fan actually we cant waitttttttt
I feel like Maine is were classic movies are filmed, you got honey i shrunk the kids, the shining, and IT. I love my state, but wow we end up being forgotten!
IM LOVING THAT YELLOW VOLTRON LION!
aww ur youngest daughter is adorable, and she is definitely an inspiration for people:)
Damn I love this channel dude
same dude but I hope he just didnt break the bank making this video lol we all should be saving money because of this pandemic no matter how rich you are
@@TheTinkle1 really does politics really have to come anywhere near this channel
I’d like to see a paramotor attached with some steering blades. Like a scaled down fan boat used in swamps. Awesome build, looks very fun!
You can use a a solenoid to reduce the draw big time in your drive switch. Just make sure it is load rated for the watt load you are feeding!
This hovercraft is sick!! Can't wait for the 2.0!!!
I just want to Say Fowler you are by far the coolest youtuber. The way you edit and cut your videos are perfect and grabs my attention everytime. My wife is annoyed at me because she has heard the word Wodobo so many times. Shes like does this guy eat any other spices. I'm like I'm sorry I'm more hooked that a fish on Fowler's line, but I am. thank you so much for the content
I think you would get more speed having the blowers aimed straight back. I think you might be confusing push and thrust you essentially have thrust You're not technically pushing against anything. Also for the main switch have you thought about a MOSFET or some type of relay system with some contacts. That is a way to have a low voltage switch control a bunch of high voltage switches. Thus it would not heat up the switch. Hope that helps looks fun.
Totally radical Zach and great to see Chris. "Floating magic carpet" was the best line, looks like an awesome project and I can't wait to watch 2.0, 3.0 and 3.7!!! Still the best channel on the Tubes - great to see you guys together again!
For anyone wondering what's the message about "Missing plugin" it's something that he uses when editing his videos, a plugin just of broke and he didn't catch it before rendering the video, nothing's wrong with your computers it's just a mishap on Fowler's behalf
Nah man, it was the FBI censoring one of his camera tricks.
Because in reality it was not a camera trick, but he was bending space time to float up to the loft again
The propulsion leaf blowers may need cone tipped reducers to increase the speed of the air. Also, you could add the extra large noodles around the edge of the plywood for stationary floatation while the leaf blowers aren't blowing and/or during battery swapping on thin ice
Awesome build can't wait to see what's next!!
Me watching this: "cosine of the angle, my dude."
It was terribly frustrating watching everyone point the thrust at a 45⁰ angle toward the ice. Not only was this forcing the nose down, it was drastically reducing horizontal force. Hope to see an update soon. Also, anyone ever see those ads in the back of magazines to build your own hovercraft in the 80s? Anyone ever buy those plans?
I think he would have been better if he had used a fixed sail at the front and had fans pointing at the sail. I could be wrong there.
@@kjsstanley7 lol that doesn’t work the air pushing the sail equals the force of the fans pushing the other way
The problem was him praying over it and leading those poor kiddo's to believe such nonsense. And yes, a poor understanding of propulsion, not that a blower produces much, but that's not what they're made for
YOU GUYS ARE HAVING TOO MUCH FUN
Looked like some really nice pre-curved wood they had.
The fan seems to be the solution. Fun video, thanks for sharing. 👍
Imagine how much an independent family business would’ve appreciated that business vs a Big box store
Open water run yes
& keep teaching your kids they will never forget 👍👍😂🥰😄
My recommendation for the water test, is to have a second (emergency) air bladder inside the current larger one. This secondary bladder would stay inflated so you don’t sink if one of the inflation blowers fail while over the water. Remember: use lots of hot glue to protect the soldering and exposed contacts. ;) I have an ECE background - stuck in software.
The HOME DEPOT warriors
You need to narrow the nozzles. They're too wide for propulsion or thrust vectoring. Also thicker gauge wiring for the switch and rigging.
You seem to have some knowledge on aeronautics? Any advice for a our air canon?
@@paulh8729 took a out of the box route and used constant airflow. Used 3 leafblowers merged into a 15 foot barrel. We made a video.
I disagree. Anything you put on the air outlet will decrease efficiency. In my opinion it would work best without any nozzle on it.
the owner of that home depot must love you, just found your channel and this is some quality content man.
YO WHY DOES THE ROOM YOURE IN LOOK LIKE THE ATTIC FROM HONEY I SHRUNK THE KIDS!!!!!! Super dope!!!!
You don't need to "push against" anything............air has mass and you simply need to move it in the opposite direction you want to travel in. Point your thrust units straight back and not down as you are only blocking air flow by blocking the exits of your leaf blowers. Epic stuff dude
Get the fan on the back with two more blowers for the hover, you need more lift with a strong propulsion to make this work. Looks cool, definitely want to see more
Daddy is having fun while the girls walk alongside ... What a generation ...
That barn is goin to be so cool when its done
I always enjoy this channel one of the few quality and enjoyable content on this platform I appreciate the hard work mr Fowler sir💪🏾
glad to see that kid back
I saw a dragon in this!
Heated hand grip on the tiller. Nice feature in the winter!
I thought it was hilarious Chris flying around in circles in that chair
I love and watch every one of your videos
Did I just hear you say "Fowlers' Bushcraft Show"
Because I am dying to watch that!!
This ingenuity is how so of our most modern inventions came about great job!
I'm the only one who noticed the Dragon passing over the water at 35:44 ?!
I would run 2 more blowers down on the deck to make it a little bit more reliable and safer, then also run a decent sized shop fan on the back. Really liked the video and am looking forward to it becoming better quality.
It’s like a drone... 10 minutes of fun with 6 hours of recharge time 😂
😁😂🤣 Yeah gotta get the gene 2 spectrum smart batteries and smart chargers if you want to spend more time running than setting watching your batteries charge worse than watching paint dry lol ✌️
@ViperI raced rc off road and dirt oval trucks for 4yrs I ran nitro for sevral races it was fun but a lot of trouble compared to electric I fly planes now electric is way more efficient but gassers are fun though I had 2 big Cessna's with 46 high out put OS nitro motors with11inch props 20yrs ago they were awesome Nothing like hearing a nitro motor ripping through the air I converted to all electric though I may have to get a nitro motor and put on one of my planes I build out of foam board I still have my old electric starter a few glow plug igniters and a couple props for nitro motors lol ✌️
My favorite quote from Tim Allen "MORE POWER"
This channel is getting better n better everyday!
😂😂 love this idea!! Keep up the great work! It’s no wonder you’re almost at a 1m you do some truly unique stuff!
@@FowlersMakeryandMischief Ive been watching you since Alone. And I love the way you are with you little girls and your friends. Your just an awesome guy all around. Great videos also. Keep up the hard work. I see its paying off for you brother.
Awesome got for it. Bring life jacket and dry clothes.
That 4 blower assembly could make a great door defense system... WOOSH! Assailants, Robbers, scammers, salesmen, peddlers, IRS auditors and porch pirates just fly away. DEFINITELY no one would expect that!
Little girls is cuteness overloud 😍😍😍
Cant imagine just how loud that was
Louder than my 3 leaf blower pool ball canon lol... I'm pretty jealous.
Zach, you should look into using relays to handle your high amperage loads. A tiny switch in your car's steering column manages to make your starter motor turn over your engine because all it is doing is turning on the coil of a relay that has a set of contacts that are capable of handling the hundreds of amps required to power a starter motor for a large engine. Also, from what I've seen of hovercraft videos, when they transition from water to, say, a parking lot, they behave the same, so you could probably do your testing on an open lot somewhere. The only thing to be careful of would be any abrasion that you may get on the bottom of your skirt if you monkey around too much while you're testing. Love this video, as I do all your others and look forward to the next installment.
Insane editing and production value. Well done sir.
Fowler you are the definition of ingenuity. Love every video
26:00 This is the section titled, "Violating the manufacturer's warranty." LOL
can not wait for a 2.0 of this, full send fowler
It looked like you added a shadow of a dragon over the unfrozen part of the lake . Nice touch if you did.
This was an awesome project. You should use relays to power up the blowers. Your switches activate the relays. That will stop switch burnout. Cheers!
Zach, you scared the holy crap out of me when you pointed that slingshot at my face. But thanks for not letting it fly!
😳😳 Woow you are a CRAZY MAN 👏👏👏👏.. THİS İS WHAT WE LOVE IN YOUR VIDEOS 👍👍👍👍😁😁😁😁😁👏👏👏👏
Your invention is really great.
Love how things are lookin for the future 😎,this watch was a blast, modern self reliance and u would be a epic clash! Get him up in that barn ,wood beard can catch the dinner just keep the cameras rolling 🤞👍
Reporter: “So Zach why did you spend so much time and money for this hovercraft.”
Zach: “So basically I wanted to fish.”
Amen brother. Love it!!
IN THE WORDS OF TIM THE TOOL MAY TAYLOR “MORE POWER”
@Religion Is A Lie your name sucks if it’s attacking people who follow Jesus Christ
Unnecessary and rediculous with that said I love it
Let's go!
Love your vids
i'm gona build one of these the size of a aircraft carrier and sail off to start my own nation on some random deserted island.
Hi
That would be cool
