The channel Children Of The Night brought me here and introduced me to your music. After reading your description of this song, I can see why listening to this, and loud I might add, feels so cathartic. Which actually makes CoTN's choice of using clips from the movie, The Breakfast Club, all the more fitting to this song.
For me it put images in my mind of breaking free from the daily grind and actually living a true life instead of just working to pay bills and taxes, and then die.
I am instant fan, and hope to catch you guys live some time.

I just have to say that I know you wrote the song originally about getting away from society's conventions. But I totally have to say as an avoidant attachment woman I totally feel the lyrics of this song and it actually speaks to being unconventional since most women are anxious attachment lol hands up for the avoidant attachment theme song! This song was intended to be ambiguous between the theme of social conventions and mental illness, but something beautiful about music is that whoever hears it can make the message their own and I love that you feel that way. 🖤

I always liked music regarding mental issues, especially since it is very hard to express certain mental states that are considered out of normality, but maybe there are just alternative states. I think you evolved pretty good, perhaps you use to listen some time ago to old school trance, besides darkwave/Goth? I hope I shall listen to your soon while reading a mental horror story. P.S. Your music has been already shared on the Goth subReddit.
Thank you for your recognition, the truth is that the message is somewhat ambiguous since I like to imply that I am talking about a mental illness, but it can also speak of the different behavior of someone healthy who, simply because they are different, is branded as crazy or strange. By the way, I haven't listened to much techno or darkwave, in fact, my influences come much more from metal, thrash... but hey, these concepts are also often used...
@@darkwaysofficial I have listened to a lot techno, especially trance, decades ago, during the golden age of trance and I can tell you darkwave and trance can get closer to each other, maybe unwillingly, but they surely can. Also symphmetal and gothic metal can become ”neighbours” with trance. Amd regarding mental states, now there is the concept of neurodiversity, that considers some people to be just diverse in their brains. I personally think it makes sense to consider people to be diverse on a mental or psychological level. Different religions and mystical traditions, during history, tried to achieve spiritual states that were very different from ”normality”, yet in a materialistic age, people end up considering use the term mysticism in the sense of insanity, not with reverence. Please, keep make more music like this, I write, at least from time to time, horror literature, songs like this can be really enjoyable and helpful during writing. Especially writing mental/psychological horror, they can give a background to the mind to work.
