Rio and Agatha had dialogue during the fight suggesting some sort of pact between them. They can't kill each other without some sort of repercussions that neither think is worth it. Rio just wanted to hurt her and set her up to die which is why she sent the 7 after her instead of killing her herself. That's why she humored Agatha's pleas to face each other when she's fully powered up.
Another interesting note about that interaction is Agatha saying that she'd died if she stole Rio's magic. She clearly doesn't have any issues stealing other witches' magic, so why would stealing Rio's power kill her.
I haven't been this excited about a weekly MCU release since WandaVision! I LOVED the first 2 episodes and immediately wanted more! We have barely scratched the surface of its witchiness. Wanda being the last person to have the Darkhold, so her name is last on the "library card" and Agatha's name is right before hers because that's who she "stole" it from. The title of the book spelling out DARKHOLD and the author being an anagram for Wundagore was great. So many cool things and I can't wait for next week!
I loooooovveeed the first 2 episodes!! I don’t care if others don’t like it I do as it’s a series made for me My grandmother, my mother and her real sister had adopted sister were Witches they practiced the craft I’m a male part of the LGBTQIA community and the last 7 years if been finally accepting that from my moms side they were pagans/Wiccans and I’m saying I am now too Thank you for your reaction review I’m tired of the negative stuff online Love your channel ❤
Seeing a True Crime style intro with the characters name in the credits cracked me up. Actually took me a second to realize those weren’t actual people 😂
The 🐇 is named Señor Scratchy, remember? This episode showed us Agatha seemingly had a son named Nicholas Scratch. I think her son became her familiar at some point and that's just one of the many mysteries we're going to see unfold in this series. I don't think Teen (Joe Locke's character) is her son. I think he's going to be revealed to be Wanda's son, Billy, which is why he had the power to break the spell Wanda put on Agatha at the end of WandaVision. He has the same powers as his mom, only it's blue magic instead of red.
While I personally don't think he's Wiccan, it at least would fit with the witches in Agatha's old coven, who were all shown to favour blue magic in favour of Agatha's purple one, including her mother, who was the blue equivalent of the Scarlet Witch.
Sadly, going negative is the default, and only, position for some people these days. They're just chasing that next engagement hit, and the monetary payoff that comes with it.
@TheMovieCouple I am liking the show so far. I love the mystery aspect of it for sure. I thought is was wild that Agatha-aka Agnes was kind of humming the "the witches road"song in the cop car like she kind of knows there is something off with her herself. The opening "tv" credits was awesome too as they use the names of the characters lol.
I feel there’s probably more backstory with Agatha and Rio to be revealed that might play into Rio’s choices… from the trailers it seems her role in the story is a bit more complicated than just murderous enemy. I think Rio did also say she *couldn’t* kill Agatha, but she could make her wish she was dead. 👀 Looking forward to your ep 2 reaction!
I'm loving the cinematography; forest scenes can look awful when everything is green and everyone needs to dress in grey just to get negative spaces happening. I've watched 5 minutes and I'm already hooked. This makes up for the bad cinematography in Madame Web 🎉
It's nice we got this show episode one is what we usually get a sort of recap, it's crazy to think that the crime scene was basically a neighbor to neighbor conversation pretty interesting 😅 it was all in her head via Wanda
I think you missed Agatha saying that Rio can’t kill her because she is not allowed to, hence the torture threat. The Seven might not be under the same restrictions.
I love that you picked up on Agatha being left-handed! As a lefty myself I get disproportionately excited. In-universe, it could be linked to her “witchiness” as being left-handed was in the past said to be a sign of the devil (and therefore witches). Not in-universe, it’s probably just “Kathryn Hahn is left-handed and we have no reason to make her pretend to be right-handed” 😂
Love your channel. In earlier times, when a couple loved each other and were going to be separated they would take a lock of their lover's hair for a keepsake.
agatha and herb’s conversation hints on Wanda’s condition. She definitely isnt dead. “She sure is dead” -herb. “You never know, *wink* -agatha. Subtle but right in your face
They can’t kill each other. As Agatha stated, “It’s not allowed,” and we know she’s not above breaking the rules to get what she wants, so that tells us they are magically unable to truly kill each other
So, since it was brought up, one thing to notice in chapter 2 is the face time call he declines in Episode 2… from the quick view, looks kinda beefy (as in Teddy/Hulkling like.) why does he want to travel the road? To get his family back - Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Speed. Since he was “born” in SW Westview, his magical powers might be able to pull them out when Agatha gets out (which is why he was attempting to break the spell on Agatha.
The whole can't kill each other thing between Agatha and Rio is more than just something between them, I believe - pretty sure witches aren't supposed to kill each other. There's a line next episode that likely has bearing on that, and why Agatha has such a reputation amongst her kind...
@TheMovieCouple I wonder if Wanda had all of them under the spell or she just told all the towns people to pretend that they were under a spell like Agatha was(They were all "playing parts" into tricking agatha this whole time. If so that is wild for 3 years.
Rewatching it with y’all has me thinking that a). Teen was hexing Agatha so his name/details about himself wouldn’t be revealed to her and b) he might be her son after all.
A lot of reactors keep asking why she didn't kill Wanda. They both say, "You can't kill me." Wanda says "You're not allowed." I think Aubrey is a green witch and maybe they can't take life. That's my theory anyway.
Andrew Ugo = Wundagore, Dialogue And Rhetoric Known History Of Learning & Debate = DARKHOLD if you look at the post card which Agatha looks at.

Aubrey plaza and Kathryn Han definitely are going to kill in this series

I guess that's the plaque where Senor' Scratchie won first place. Agnes mentions it Wandavision. Episode 2, I think.
Seeing a True Crime style intro with the characters name in the credits cracked me up. Actually took me a second to realize those weren’t actual people 😂
“Agnes O’Connor “ hahaha
@@TheMovieCouple the Mrs. Hart is what tipped me off and made me go “wait a minute!”

if I were writing it (oh... to dream) I'd make him both!

Agnes did say Rio can’t kill her. “It’s not allowed” so I believe they may have a pact.
This is such a good show, it’s a shame people aren’t giving it a chance.
Yes you can tell its.setting up to be amazing

It's so gooodddd
Yeah this show is already FIRE. Can’t WAIT for next week!
Thank you for being one of the only channels to recognize all the actors from WandaVision returning to new roles here.

I think they were probably lovers. Maybe like a Dumbledore/Grindelwald scenario
The dark hold was burnt in multiverse of madness so that’s why the library was burnt.

I can’t believe this show is finally here we’ve been waiting years for it, it was my most anticipated show
Honestly ... excellent 2 episodes...

They may have a addressed and it wasn’t on the video. Remember, UA-cam is still a truncated review.

I'm all in on this show after seeing the first 2 episodes last night
This was definitely a slow burn episode but it was a great slow burn episode. It was a detective episode Agatha trying to get out of Wanda spell💯
I really liked it, I think I preferred the second episode more especially towards the end I started to really dig it

Dustin looks great. Much better clean shaven.
Rio can’t kill Agatha… They said it
I see agatha becoming an antivillian and maybe an antihero. I like how she's still ruthless and greedy, but being venerable will force her to change
Strong characters 👏
One of my❤ favourite reactor,
Nah perfect length. Wouldn’t change a second
