Most people don’t know the difference between bouyon and soca so it’s refreshing to see some who is not Dominican who knows the difference. Over the years a lot more soca songs sound like bouyon though but a lot of people don’t know the differences. For eg jab music has a strong bouyon influence more than that of soca music.
@@Franciscohazel .. my girlfriend is from trinidad and i did a tune for her birthday..she and her son said the same thing to me.. word for word.. that the beat moved their head but was missing something that ..and the something would move their butt as well.. your vid was the correct beat. It instantly started her hips shaking.. which is a real talent and key to what it needs to be to work. I had looked at a bunch of vids before i did it to get a feel for how the rhythm is done.. but they were missing the vital ingredient.
Wauw, good stuff!! If you're not familiar at first with the beat, it's a great accomplishment to get a Trini to move her butt 😁. It's like talking a foreign language.....you can say the correct words, but without the (local) pronounciation, it sounds foreign.
