Your video is a reminder to always keep looking, as there is worth in taking the time to create. It's the eye un your mind that makes the picture and helps create a beautiful memory. Thanks for this!
No need to apologise for such a wonderful video. It's encouraging to see that it doesn't matter where you are, or how much time you have, you can still produce great art and have fun along the way. I can't wait to see what you do in Spain. Have a great trip. ✌😉
Enjoyed this very much! It was great seeing how you use the mixing section of the travel palette, how you rigged the video setup, and how you found a lovely scene in the midst of a humdrum view. Watching you paint was, as always, a joy.
I loved watching how you approached the painting & particularly how you incorporated the pencil crayons. It’s given me some inspiration- thank you. Wishing you a lovely trip. 😊
What a cute little ‘from my window’ painting! I’ve been packing for an upcoming vacation and have had WAY too much fun packing a tiny pencil case with art supplies (I know the only chance I’ll get to paint is in the hotel at night and I might be too tired, so not too much point in taking tons of things). 5 minutes to pack clothes and everything else… days of thinking/rethinking which palettes, paper, brushes and pencils/fineliners to bring 😂. Have a wonderful trip with your daughter!
When you first showed the scene outside of the window, I hadn’t seen the buildings in the background & thought oh what is she going to use the focal point today? Definitely a lovely quick little painting piece. Hope you & your daughter have a wonderful time together on your trip! Thanks for sharing this video! 🥰
Hi Helen , never pass up the opportunity to knock out another cracking little sketch , luv it !! Have a lovely Mum / Daughter break , I love the memories I have of times spent with my boys , so important . They will always be my "boys" although they are both in their mid / late sixties , I probably drive them bonkers refering to them as boys but the are too polite to mention it , maybe they want to avoid being sent to the naughty step if they misbehave !! Enjoy Girona , more happy memories for me , Its about now that there is a fantasic annual flower festival in Girona , hope you catch it , really worth seeing . As always , many thanks , Helen , Mike in Exeter xx
Haha! Yes, trips with kids are special events and memories. When all our kids were at home, we prioritised travelling with them over other financial things, with zero regrets! My three little boys are all now over 6' 2"! Ooo - I hadn't even heard about a flower festival - thank you! And you definitely deserve a medal: 🏅
May I ask about the two metal clips in your travel bag? They look ideally suited to holding sketchbook pages in place without denting the pages. What are they called and where might I find them? Thanks so much.
I just did a reverse google image search and found them: they're called drawing board clips. And here I thought they were some obscure, repurposed hardware item!

Thank you!
Yes, I got to the end and it just proves that there's always something to sketch! Enjoy Girona x
This is true! And here's your well deserved medal: 🥇
I really love your multimedia paintings/videos, they always bring a smile to my face. Have a great trip and come home safely!
I'm really glad, thank you! As do your comments! 🏅

Thank you, that's very kind!
I like the way you manage to make an interesting painting out of a not particularly exciting view. Enjoy your girly time in Gerona together.
Thanks ever so much!

I got them from Just-Go-Sketching along with a board and bag set:
