I'm not buying another game from DICE or EA again. I paid $30 for the Premium pass for BF1 and I got a lot of weapons, new factions, an increase in the map count from 10 to 32 maps, and hours of fun. Now it's $15 for a stupid soldier skin!!! We have no new maps! We have a new weapon every week, but that doesn't help! The US isn't even in the game yet, like seriously the US was a key combatant! Tides of war is stupid with too much grinding! To all those losers who didn't want to cough up the extra cash for Premium instead of buying a dumb game on steam, this is what we got, are you happy!?!
@No Order don't know who you are asking. But my friends stopped playing because "It's boring", "Has no soul", "Broken game", "Because they took out everything that made battlefield fun" Those are just a few quotes from the guys I usually squad with.
@No Order the game lacks content and it feels broken and worse than lets say BF3,BF4 and BF 1. This game is a failure EA couldn't careless about the BF V community or the 1.000 people still playing this hot burning garbage, the worst Battlefield in years, lower sales than BF hardline. Enough.
I had 65 PSN friends who played BF1, 12 of them bought BFV, 5 of them pre ordered and the rest bought off when it was half off. 5 of the 12 have gone back to BF1 daily, and another has gone back to BF4. Some of these ppl do play BFV a few times a week still, but not daily, and none of them play Firestorm! Everyone said that BFV lacks content(guns and maps), modes suck and it's just a boring grindfest that just takes a toll after an hour or so.
We can thank some of the tool UA-cam personalities that were saying when this game was launched that “live service was the superior method to receive new content, it keeps the playerbase together.” Hard to keep the playerbase together if there isn’t a playerbase in the first place. At least premium kept EA/DICE’s feet to the fire about actual content.
After Battlefront 2 I had little faith in BFV and it's live service. Least with SWBF2 Disney put a little pressure on EA and they added some stuff. BFV has failed and Firestorm was EA's last hope. They completely marketed that wrong and of course it's failing as well. I see they've even dropped the prices on the standard and deluxe editions again after jacking them back up for Firestorms release.
I agree with what you say Crafter, I usually do. I'm a casual gamer, I just like to run about and have fun. Sometimes I PTFO, use a mic, talk with the squad, etc. Sometimes I just try to kill tanks with AP mines. What it comes down to, is I still have fun with BFV, I have hundreds of hours into it, I Pre-ordered it, played the beta, got all the special skins for BF1, everything. It isn't a perfect game, but I got value for my money.
Thanks for uploading this video Crafter! im so sick of hearing both the DICE devs and other BFV players saying that we would still only have the same amount of content with Premium as we do now without Premium. thats just not true. we would have way more content with Premium. even a blind man can see that.
Battlefield V and Star Wars Battlefront II got so much initial hate that DICE knew it was pointless to make paid DLC because most players wouldn't buy it. There's hardly any incentive for them to make new content because they are not making money off much extras.
To summarize the 15 min video: premium pass gave Dice an incentive (extra revenue) to create new content. BF5 has no premium pass so they have little reason to spend money on more content.
Enzino well they should cuz people actually buy skins for 15 dollars, so that’s a hell of an incentive. I take some comfort in that. At least from summer on out maps will start coming.
Personally I doubt I'll buy the next BF game. WWII is my era and was soo soo dissapointed with BF5. I'm not a fan of laser guided auto lock on missile and super fast run and gunner action as there's already a plethora of those types of games around. So sad that the best WWII games on the PS4 console were COD WWII and BF V... and both were seriously big let downs.
By the way I actually think they didn't have time to make this game. I don't know for what reason but they didn't have time. Also if Criterion actually worked on Firestorm alone making the mechanics and the map what the fuck the DICE team was doing ? When BF4 launched after 6 months we got like...3 DLCs 12 fucking maps plus 10 base maps how is it possible that BFV doesn't have maps. They already doomed themeselvs with 1 of the worse trailers ever in videogame history, the only way out they had was to actually nail the live service and they are not doing it. Also Firestorm is dying in most countries.

But they missed the mark by not adding service stars or more levels to the guns and ofcourse a proper career rank, which are two of the most important things in Battlefield games.
Because of the low sales, EA has a smaller playerbase to rip off so they focus on games with bigger playerbases such as FIFA so they can milk a bigger audience for microtransactions. Pretty clear cut if you ask me.

While I agree with you on the live service part, I still think there was some funky behind-the-scenes thing going on behind the curtains before or during BFV's launch
This also applies heavily on Anthem. Bioware is surely to blame due to chaotic waste of pre production time. Overall these whole games as a service come with the littlest content as when we'd had season pass with locked content to foreseeable timeframes.
i see your point but they also lost on sales of the game due to it's lack of content and that it ws just a pretty poor game. I have it now after having it for two weeks but not enjoying it. I've not played online and only played about 2 mission of the story...it's so bad I can even be bothered playing it. I have too many games that are much better and keeping me hooked sitting on my shelves. I'll hold on as there is supposed to be more maps and tweaks to the gunplay in June. It was very dissapointing and not like a BF game I liked, expected or wanted. But will see how it goes in June. If it appeals then great, if not then it'll be traded for vouchers or something else. However I expect something like Hell Let Loose will be my go to WWII game soon.
It isnt down to purely what u said it's a combination of things, you just pointed out one of them, another is EA releasing unfinished live service games to produce more games every two years compared to releasing a finished game every 3 off years, also due to poor sales EA pulled resources from bfv as per their policy
Premium pass would be fine if it was just weps and cosmetics. Everyone should get the maps as part of the initial purchase of the game. Think about it. What's the point of having premium if you can't play the new maps because half the community dont have them and servers that run dlc maps are dead.but that's all besides the point. EA make a ton of money but they want even more. Its never enough for them, so they are now doing the minimum of work for maximum profit at the expense of future game titles they might release. A lot if people feel cheated, this will probably effect sales on future titles. The smart move is not to alienate their customers. And then they can continue to make money for years off their games. In short, boo hoo, an EA executive might have to buy one less sports car. My heart breaks for them.

What content like this lacks, are comparison charts, bullet lists, some sort of interaction charts and maps. While i wont comment on what you talk about else.. But listen to you with only watching gameplay is boring. Underline your statements with the previous mentioned and you sell your story better. Sincerely your friend

Totally agreed on the video you made some years ago on BF without premium pass, so i expected low content from BFV. The only thing i disagree of is what you said about the live service, i like it and i have no problems with getting a new gun/skin every week because it's one of the few reasons that i keep coming back to playing the game. I don't think all non-average players despise this kind of "live service" method like you said. Like your videos btw

Just wait when a new BF games comes out and start from there. Hopefully it isn't as unfun, broken and contentless like BFV.
Next game will probably be even worse. The franchise seems to have peaked with either BF3 or BF4.
