the producers of dance moms probably forced abby to use this song with the group dance as they were behind of different things. Throughout the years abby fought with the producers about their ideas. If you look up "single laides" controversial dance you'll find a video of young girls wearing the same costumes but red as in dance moms. So the producers most likely wanted to use this to boost ratings for the show. Remember dance moms wasn't popular back when it started and the whole cast earned $600. I don't believe you should be quick to blame abby. (IK theres a document somewhere that says Abby put her foot down one time during season 6 when the producers tried to force her to make a dance portraying children as pregnant teens while wearing belly bumps)
