That is false. Black Friday didnt start until the 1960's. It was called black friday by the police because of all the chaos it caused. Traffic, crime etc. The slave thing was a rumor.
Black people boycotted because they believed that not spending our dollars would make a difference. Not spending money at the white-owned stores would hit the them where it hurts...their pockets.
