For those confused by up special, you can replace the tape anywhere after initially placing it by holding up special, you simply just momentarily tap the command to teleport to the cassette. If your struggling, try letting go of the buttons after inputting up special.

There has been a new update to spring trap that adds names to all of the costumes, and even special, taunting animations for a few of them. As well as some various adjustments to the character himself. Not sure if you want to revisit it, but re-downloading the character should apply the update. This mod has been in development for almost 3 years by multiple people, and has had many revisions and changes over said time. A stage s also coming soon with some BANGER music so stay tuned!

The “Purplegeist” color is actually inspired by (okay this is a BIG deep cut) the FNaF World Halloween Edition troll game. The final boss featured a monstrous version of the Purple Guy and his name was.. you guessed it “the Purplegeist”
5:33 That's actually Adventure Springtrap from FNAF World using an attack called "Slasher". It's a chance attack that insta-kills only. It's an attack that Jack O' Bonnie, one of the characters you have to beat a minigame for, possesses.
The hammer is a reference to his "Clown Springtrap" design from Special Delivery, in which he carries one. The shield is also from another design, the Aztec inspired Springtrap called "The Curse". Both skins appear as color swaps. His Side Special is based on his design and attacks from FnaF World.

the recovery work like this: if there is no tape, pressing up special put the tape at your position when the tape is there: tapping up special teleport you to the tape holding up special put once again the tape to your position.

Seems like the Up B is a more "setup" style of Up B. As you have to place the Casette first and then you can Up B again to teleport to the Casette. And when you use it I assume you gotta set it up again. So it's definitely a somewhat confusing Up B bit with practice you can get used to it. I think closest comparison I can make is Ness/Lucas PK Thunder, since you gotta hit yourself with it to recover. Similar complexity here, gotta find a spot to place the cassette and that's when the Up B is ready to work.

Hello there, Linklight. I really enjoy your content and I have been watching excitedly ever since your first Custom Characters in Rivals of Aether video. I apologize if this is a bit much, as I am not sure if you take requests for future videos, but if at all possible, could you please possibly do a video on Jerma985 by roboshyguy, Ridley by EGGS, and/or Tahu by JustRaisins? I haven't ever seen a deep dive into any of their movesets, so please consider it if you can, and keep up the wonderful content regardless, you have done an amazing job and I know you will just keep getting better and better. :)
I can explain everything about spring trap in 5 words… lore AR skins different generations lore: FNaF lore has some spring trap things about it that are used for attacks and skins AR and Skins: FNaF has an AR version with skins and some attacks and skins for spring trap are those skins Different and generations: some skins and attacks are versions of spring trap in different games EX: the plushy one is glitch trap a version on spring trap in FNAF VR another EX: the bash thing used on Steve is going from spring trap to scrap trap then purple guy Just for those who dont know :)
Love all the special delivery references like the flaming Springtrap, the hammer from Clowntrap (I'm assuming) and the sheild from the aztec Springtrap
5:35 this move is called slasher, it's from FNAF world and if I remember correctly, it has a one in five (or smthn) chance to instakill The orb that he can send out I'm pretty sure is a move called sludge, also from FNAF world, and weakens/slows the enemy

This is a completely educated form of being a fnaf fan who was playing from the start, and it is beautiful that everything afton related is in his character ability's like his connections to his forms
The pitch black and purple springtrap is actually Glitchtrap/Malhare. The attack where springtrap turns into a cartoon like version is actually springtrap from fnaf world. The ice/completely blue springtrap is from fnaf special delivery/AR.
The side special he turns into Adventure Springtrap from FNAF world and the shield is a reference to the pizza shield in fnafb (Five nights at f**kboys) if I'm not mistaken
Incase you’ve still yet to learn how the up special works properly. When you don’t have a cassette on the stage, up special places it down where you are, and gives you a slight jump boost. Then when it’s on the screen, tapping the button teleports you too it, and holding it places a new cassette.
The you can’t was from a mini game in fnaf2, where you had to save the children,and above your screen was save them and at the end purple guy comes at you and says you can’t

The FAir sound effect is the same one when he gets Springlocked, I absolutely love the amount of detail that went into this character.

I get SOOO many of the references in his moveset and I get so happy every single time I see one
I case you wondering, the up air is a reference to SpringTrap’s clown costume from fnaf special delivery, and his block is his Aztec costume from the same game.
I love how Springtrap has so many versions of himself in different suits. (like actually different suits not colored) Cheetotrap is cool though!
Kind of a shame that he got those jaw things that he's never used for his projectile when they could've used the Phantom animatronics.
The smash attack are the phantoms
Up smash is a jack in the box with the shadow at the end being the puppet
The down smash is Freddy and chica
And the side smash is foxy
This is a really good Moveset for Springtrap. The only two things I would change is the Back Aerial and the Up Special.

Alot of his moves either reference fnaf world with the purple sludge a nod to toxic sludge. Or his knife throwing animation being adventure springtrap. But also his moves imitate the fnaf 3 minigames and minigames from fnaf vr and sb

I love how they added stuff from all over the franchise to spring-trap, the tapes Glitch-trap/mal-hair was hiding in + the plush we contained him in, the phantoms that support him in FNaF3, and even Adventure Spring-trap from the FNaF world joke game XD

lore: FNaF lore has some spring trap things about it that are used for attacks and skins
AR and Skins: FNaF has an AR version with skins and some attacks and skins for spring trap are those skins
Different and generations: some skins and attacks are versions of spring trap in different games EX: the plushy one is glitch trap a version on spring trap in FNAF VR another EX: the bash thing used on Steve is going from spring trap to scrap trap then purple guy

This is a completely educated form of being a fnaf fan who was playing from the start, and it is beautiful that everything afton related is in his character ability's like his connections to his forms
The pitch black and purple springtrap is actually Glitchtrap/Malhare. The attack where springtrap turns into a cartoon like version is actually springtrap from fnaf world. The ice/completely blue springtrap is from fnaf special delivery/AR.
The side special he turns into Adventure Springtrap from FNAF world and the shield is a reference to the pizza shield in fnafb (Five nights at f**kboys) if I'm not mistaken

Incase you’ve still yet to learn how the up special works properly.
When you don’t have a cassette on the stage, up special places it down where you are, and gives you a slight jump boost.
Then when it’s on the screen, tapping the button teleports you too it, and holding it places a new cassette.
