While Shubhman is an outstanding cricketer, I'm not sure if he's a great voice actor.
India has many talented voice actors who deserve more recognition.
He was selected to work as a voice actor to create buzz around the movie, but his role might be brief, lasting less than 5 minutes, while more deserving voice actors will be responsible for dubbing the rest of the film. The purpose of this is to generate hype and anticipation for the movie.

Going with Shubman was damn smart move. They could've easily got an exceptional voice over artist or a famous actor who would've made the foundation of character way perfect but they prefer the hype. Getting the attention of indian public via IPL/Cricket which is currently most popular thing in india, even better than bollywood, is just good for business. nobody gives a shit about indian spiderman, they included him just to add more hefty cash in their stash.
