Just wanna say I appreciate your video presence! Your voice is very organic and natural, doesn't feel like you're forcing a TV persona on me and therefore doesn't make me cringe lol appreciate the informative video!
Wow, thank you for the incredibly kind comment. You made my day 😁 These videos are harder to make than they look, so it means a lot to know that people are enjoying the content.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience! Looks like you had a wonderful trip and learned a few new things. That was really nice that you included grandma, your seat neighbor. Well done!
She was awesome! I loved flying beside her. Japan Airlines is fantastic, and I highly recommend flying with them if you haven't before and can get a chance.
What an outstanding video. Just what I was looking for. I've used up almost all of my points traveling to South Africa and Europe over the past year with my husband. We've got to regroup. Lol I was looking at JAL to fly from Chicago to Singapore in the fall in economy or premium economy. Economy looked very doable. Thank you again. I defintely subscribed!
This is the best economy experience I've ever had. I think this is a great option for you to fly over to Asia in economy. That's for subscribing. I'm glad you enjoyed the content ☺️
@David Ruiz First-Class was incredible! Economy was also surprisingly really good. Japan Airlines has been my best experience with any airline so far. Great service and food in each cabin 👏🏾
Excellent recap of your experience! I had the pleasure of flying both legs in first class also departing from LAX. I was out there in early March for the Tokyo Marathon. Also on my return I had the exact same seat as you, seat 1D. Keep up the great content, always great seeing a fellow black man killing the points and miles game!
Awesome video! JAL 1st looks amazing + can't put a price on the travel/flight experience with your seat mate Choko. Park Hyatt Tokyo is on my list of hotels to stay at. So happy that you had such a cool trip! Thanks for the info + video!
You're going to love the Park Hyatt Tokyo when you get a chance to stay there. I had high expectations, and it exceeded all of them. Choko will forever be with me as the best seat mate a person could ask for. Thanks for watching.
You mind sharing how many points u spent for first class tickets I want to do something like this in the future with all these sign up bonuses 😊 chase or Amex points? Also I heard going from USA to Asia the food and service not as good. That’s why u booked Tokyo to Lax?
Sure! I booked it using Alaska Airlines miles. At the time, it was only 70k miles for first-class. Unfortunately, due to devaluation, it is now more expensive (85k-105k) depending on where you're flying from/to. I was told that they only serve the Salon Champagne when departing from Japan, so there are definitely some differences in the service depending on where you depart from.
@@jpknowledge8852 JP just wondering if you know how to book ANA business class using virgin Atlantic miles, I wanted to use the Amex points I have for a trip to japan in their newer product "the room" business class. I can't seem to find availability thru virgin Atlantic's site!
Thank you for the review, economy was quite nice but I'm not sure first class is 100% worth the extra. I'll be doing the 13h40m economy flight from ORD to HND, cannot wait to suffer!
Long-haul flights I have always like the Business Class because of the space that is needed. Premium Economy is getting to be good on many airlines as well.
@LMays-cu2hp Premium Economy isn't bad, but Business class is the way to go for long-haul flights! It just makes the journey much smoother, and you feel good when you land.
@@jpknowledge8852 Hahaha! Yes, Business Class is very nice and worth. I know everyone can not afford that cabin selection and that is fine. So, Premium Economy, at the first rows of that cabin selection, there at the bulk head is and where you, if people in general can afford to be. But yes, now a days I am able to have Business Class on long-haul flights. ☺
Love this video. My one point of advice for everyone is to avoid drinking alcohol when flying at 40,000 feet. Please drink up other times but not when traveling via air. Bad for your health and sanity. Check out various researchers reports for further studies. Enjoy your restful flight.
You're probably right with it being bad for your health, but it can be hard to resist $1,000 bottle of champagne when it is offered to you in first-class 😉
Great video! Sad to see that the 777 have been pulled out from LAX starting from the last few days of OCT... The Qantas lounge would have been a good start in F
Since I was flying economy from LAX, I didn't have access to the Qantas lounge. But if you do fly F out of Los Angeles, that would definitely be a good option.
Great video, first class will always be in my dreams for me but maybe one day. If you like champagne, try Lalique champagne. It's not $1000 a bottle, closer to $100 but it's my favourite. The only problem is that it's super hard to get hold of. Here in England, only 2 shops (both Lalique) sell it.
I was thinking about it, but they are doing a renovation of the hotel soon, so I don't think it will make much sense. But it is awesome! Highly recommend
JAL first class isn’t as impressive as others like emirates. The flight attendant didn’t pour the $600 champagne bottle properly either or used champagne flutes. However I don’t think anyone can beat JAL economy price for price. Excellent review nonetheless
You're right! It wasn't a proper champagne glass, but I didn't mind. The staff was super nice, and the economy class is as good as I've ever experienced

Awesome video man :)) subscribed immediately. It’s wholesome how grandma gave you food just like every other grandma 😆 Loved her too!
She was a sweetheart of a woman. She gave me such a warm welcome to her home country. I'm very thankful to have been seated beside her. 😊

It was so much fun! I'm glad you enjoyed watching it.
Really great video. I enjoyed seeing your experience with JAL airlines in both business and economy class. Looks like it was a fun trip.
It was an incredible trip! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.
i love making friends in the air!! as a nervous flyer it helps take my mind off of the flight and just enjoy good company. great video❤
I agree. If you can get good seat mates, it makes the travel experience significantly more enjoyable ☺️
Been looking forward to this!
I hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 😁
@jpknowledge8852 nice review! That seat is HUGE. The first class food obviously looked next level but the economy class food didn't look bad either!

Cool to hear we had the same seat. I hope you got in a couple of sips of that Salon Champagne! 🍾

Nice review! Greetings from Paris, traveling with JAL in November, I'm impatient 😸
Special mention to your granma seat mate, lols ❤️
JAL is a great airline! You should have a comfortable and smooth journey ✈️🌍

You can fly first class! Save up your points, and one day, you will ✨️✈️
I'll look up Lalique. Thanks for the recommendation 🥂
How comfortable was the seat in economy, i mean how tall are you, im taking this next February, im 1.81 m
The seat was comfortable to me. I'm 5 foot 10 inches and weigh about 175 lbs. It was the best economy experience I've ever had
Will you be doing a hotel review for the Park Hyatt?
I was thinking about it, but they are doing a renovation of the hotel soon, so I don't think it will make much sense. But it is awesome! Highly recommend
Love the hat what type is it please??
I purchased it at Nordstrom. "Goorin Bros" is what it says on the inside. Never heard of the brand, just like the look 🤠
nice video bro
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😃

Probably not a good idea.Eating from someone else's mouth on a plane You never know they could be current and disease Like covet nineteen
😂 I don't believe I ate anything that she touched, but if somehow I did, I survived!
