WOW!! My VERY FIRST SINGING GIG IN LOS ANGELES! I was going to be one of BKRND SNGRZ for the live promo tour of her upcoming (but now NEVER RELEASED!) CD. I was to match/NAIL the sound quality/vocals of Lalah Hathaway, which for me is a walk in the park! I think the Brotha who got me on this was *Jerry Davis*. I wonder where he is today? DAMN GREAT SONG!!!

Hi..,Yes ,long before A.G.T... This is from early to mid 1996,and was only available on the Mo Jazz cd comp "People make the world go round" (shown near the intro on the video) .. Ronee (Veronica) Martin was born 24th Nov 1953,.. so she would have been 42 singing this..She is now 67
She was in her 40's. This song was done in the mid 90's

I cannot hear the keyboard and the drums sound like a drum machine ... this is a really beautiful song ! Just a bad mix, but an incredible singer ! I love her !
Drum machines were really prevalent in 1996 when this song was made. However it does not take away from the greatness of the song or the vocal performance of Ronee Martin - or Lalah Hathaway on background vocals.
