Thank you! We taste tested it today and the garlic is delicious too!! Way stronger than store bought (now I can understand why some recipes just call for a couple cloves!!) 🤣
Good to see you in your garden. I keep telling all my friends that some of the produce does not require much efforts and one of them is Garlic. Prepare a spot where rain water comes and put some garlic cloves in our winter here now and pull them out at start of our Summer in Dec before ready to eat. Literally nothing required as it always rain in our winter and spring on and off. Also the double beans is also our winter no effort crop.
Thanks! Maybe I’ll try double beans this winter too. And yes, I will definitely grow garlic from now on because it’s so easy. And maybe this year I can use my own garlic to plant!!
I did Elephant garlic this year, No. Calif. and they did not do well. It either split or did not make cloves. We had incredibly hot weather early on. A bit more rain. I still am using last year's garlic, it was so prolific. What I wanted to tell you is you can, when you have time, LOL, freeze your garlic. I go ahead and use a garlic chopper (??) and freeze on a cookie sheet, single layer. Then when frozen transfer to freezer bags. I do the same with onions and bell peppers, celery etc. Hope your baby girl is letting you get some sleep!
Thanks! I will probably end up preserving them a few different ways including freezing although I may not get around to chopping them up and have to throw them in whole. I’ve got to choose my battles wisely 🤣.
That garlic is beautiful! Grace is important. Way to go!
