Some of the iron sight LMGs are surprisingly accurate long-range snipers when proned, if you're patient and develop your sense of accuracy. You can hit guys on other objectives and it takes them a while to figure out where the fire is coming from. On Sinai, using the Huot Low Weight from the top of Objective F, I've gotten kills on C, D, and even G (!).
Hm. No. It was when the Americans got hold of them and rechambered them for a different caliber round that they had problems. Otherwise it wasn't that bad. Forgotten Weapons has a few videos on this topic. I'd go check it out 😁
when firing its original lebel round and not re chambered to fire 30-06 it was reasonably capable, the holes on the side of the mag were not ideal, most french soldiers learnt to only load the mags with 19 shots instead of 20 to help prevent jamming also
This is about when I stopped playing BF1. The Chauchat is known as one of the worst weapons ever issued to a modern army. A total piece of shit in every way.

It's also good against elite players and cavalry if you get headshots. 👍

Matti you should try out: Madsen MG Low Weight/Storm/Trench.
Matti, note that any of these LMGs that have a center hole in the hipfire reticle while standing still are amazing at hipfire while standing still.

In real life, just shoot 3-4 round and then...Jam lol
