Thought I'd put my 2 cents in. What I ended up doing was getting rid of the plastic piece and welding on a fat round washer that I grinded down to fit in the slide. Because it's round it moves freely. Installed it with some sticky lube and so far works great.
Thank you for sharing. That's great idea. My plastic broke again after 2 years and I have just came up with new fix which I will post this week. Thank you again for your comments. It may help someone to fix this problem.
@@pauliebots My rear right just broke. I need to fix that junk now. I have better way to fix it now. This piece I did in this video lasted about 2 years. Now I fix it with JenWeld glue. I will post it this week.
Maciej, I just wanted to say thank you for your inspiration. For some reason my thought process kept going toward fixing the broken piece, then I saw your video. I also had some marine board scraps. Within a couple of hours of watching your video, I had it fixed. Thank you again, this was a well worth the time.
Thank you so much for this video! Same thing has happened to the same window. I didn't make a new clip but I was able to set the arm of the regulator in the 'up' position. I disconnected the regulator, so the window won't fall -- it won't open either, but that's better than it falling.
Yes, thanks. You just can't buy piece like that. New regulator costs more then $100. This was basically free + my time. You just have to be patient but can save lots of money. This still works perfectly.
I have the exact same problem in the same rear left door in my 2009 Lancer EX, and as others mentioned it is rediculus this part is not available without the regulator, I was thinking to reconstruct the part with epoxy resin or craft a part from plastic, then I saw your vedio, greate job.
Unfortunately, this part I made lasted only about 1 year and it broke again. It needs to be really strong material. I tried epoxy but it's not strong enough.
Same part. Same window. Same model. I just bought a regulator from the local auto wrecker. Cost me ~$70AUD but saved all the machining hassle. It's a bit shit that this tiny piece of plastic breaks in the same way for everyone. I would be interested to hear if the printed part continues to work. And if you could share the model on thingiverse or somewhere?
Those 2 white plastic clamps that grip the glass have snapped. Can you suggest how I can remove them as they are very tight on the glass, maybe they are glued?
I’ve got an 08 outlander and my last window just messed up 🤦🏻♀️ thought I was going to buy new regulators for them but they’re expensive so I haven’t been using any windows 🤦🏻♀️
@@MaciejPiotrowski Can you tell us what happened to the part exactly? how it broke again? I mean which portion broke so we can make up something stronger.
@@MazinJabarin You can see the plastic part that broke at 2:09 min. It's white plastic that slides inside the track. Once this breaks you have to replace entire window assembly.
Maciej Piotrowski Sure you can buy it and on very cheap price it’s costing a few dollars on AliExpress just search for outlander window bracket or something like that was and it comes offered from a various online shops!
It's been a year and this part still works perfectly.

Nicely done, you have lots of patience. That piece had to be precise.

Try buying from a wreckers/eBay. Seriously they are not that hard to undo pull out and replace.
Oh, and photograph everything as you go. So you know where it was when you took it out or off. ;)
THAT PIECE I MADE IN 2017 JUST BROKE IN THE MIDDLE. I NEED TO MAKE A NEW ONE AND DON'T USE THIS WINDOWS AS MUCH AS BEFORE. IT'S JUNE 2020
I need to fix this same part on the same window. Thanks for this video.
@@Shutupletstalk FYI, that part I made just broke again so it lasted 3 years. I need to do it again but I wont use that windows as much now.

Ive got an 08 and my driver window has power but im certain this is the problem because it wont slide up straight.
Now you know how to fix it.
Can I buy the little plastic part?
You can't buy it. Nobody sells it. You have to buy entire regulator which is ridiculous. That's why I decided to make it myself.
Maciej Piotrowski that sucks. I don't have the tools to fabricate one.
Another option is to go junk yard and try pulling that out of Mitsubishi car.
