hello, I need your help. I am selling my Tesla. I have it finance. how can I do the process. he wants to make the pay off payment and take the car, and when I received the title he will come back to give me the money extra so I can give him the title. I don't know if that's a good way. can you pleased give a advised. do I give him the keys after he makes the payoff but I still missing money.(he wants to be sure too that he makes the payoff and I don't stay with the car. how is the right way, where both are happy.i will appreciate your advised. thanks
@@giselafernandez1918 I recommend doing this sale through www.escrow.com/, as this way you don't have to worry about trusting the other person. Everything will be handled through them fairly. Very sorry your comment was missed until now!

thanks, this was helpful. we were going to trade our 2021 MYLR 7 seater for the MXLR. last minute, a friend's friend decided to purchase it. we went for a test drive, i disclosed all the imperfections, i created a document outlining everything for us and them to sign. they gave us a check. didn't know about the cashier's check part but they will be back to pick up the car and sign everything. they are not total strangers but they are no acquaintance either. we got a few more thousand than what tesla offered. plus we were able to help a new tesla owner get into their first tesla. we're picking our MXLR in a few hours.

Hi Tesbros, thanks for the video. One quick question arournd 10:44 about the loan. Does the seller need to payoff the entire loan in this case? (I guess not) or when you stated deposit the loan, what's the details about it? just for the buyer to pay what's you paid?

You could do that and they can directly pay the bank and you get the difference.
Potentially selling my model s this week on Facebook. There are tons of tesla buy sell pages that attract serious buyers. Hopefully this works out

I ended up selling it through only used Tesla, but check out the links in the description for some other sites you can list it on. The more places it's listed, the better!
I have never sold a car private party only trade ins. Is it expected, as a buyer, to wait for the title? that is the part that makes me nervous.
Yes but that is where escrow.com comes in and if not, def verify everything. It is always a little riskier but there are ways to be cautious.
Sooooo le me check this again_ so buyer transfers funds first to my bank account or gives me the cashiers check ? Then I verify with the bank I got the funds and only after that I sign bill of sale correct ?

I am confused though at what point I remove the vehicle from Tesla app and move it to new owner tesla app and connect the keys? can this happen the same day when I go to the bank with buyer (we have the same bank so transfer funds will be fast), then after verification of the funds we sign the bill of sale right there and thats it ?
Because tittle will be sent to me later in a few days after loan is paid off.
@@yowalker5956 with the improvement of app experience, if you have the title or registration, you can actually move app immediately. So if you have all the info, it should be same day.
Is the downloadable bill of sale good in all US states?
should be! I would check with your lawyer to confirm.

Remove your license plate? Um, no. Plate stays with the car

This video was really useful. I was looking for guidance on "How to Sell Your Used Tesla" because that is the title of the video. It answered all those questions very clearly. Thankfully I also know how to use the search feature of UA-cam, so I copy pasted "factory reset and removing the car from an online Tesla account" into the search field. Thanks for typing that for me! Literally the very first video that came up.
