In dr2 rear wheel drive cars feel a lot easier to manage because the front tires have a lot of grip. Any sort of braking or heavy throttle application will immediately induce over steer and because there so much traction in the front it's really easy to counter steer and straighten out. Rear tires also feel like they grip instantly as soon as you let go of the throttle/brake, almost like the car has no inertia. Biggest difference I noticed in RBR is how much the car wants to keep rotating even after you let go of the throttle and also how easy it is to break traction in the front and under steer.
It's so fun to try to balance the oversteer and understeer in RBR with RWD cars, it's so easy to make the car understeer and then you just go "yeah I f'd up" and then you slide in to the ditch, but when you get everything right it feels so rewarding, love it!
In RBR it sure feels all the time that I am in control, and any mistake was due to me. In EA WRC with the RWD that is just not the case. I haven't tried RWD cars yet in DR 2.0 but maybe one day I'll muster the courage to do just that. :)
I literally just started with this setup a day ago! Have never tried RBR before and now there's a video about the same thing, incredible timing! Greetings from another Finn here!
1:34 if you like, you could try using the brakes and the throttle at the same time! It gives the front end more grip for turning and keeps the tail rotating (and using 100% throttle upsets these +200hp cars really easily, so a little less makes you faster!)
@@Finns_in_Simland I think RBR stands out from other driving games so much, that it's almost counter-intuitive in the way it handles! You kind of have to think what a car would do IRL and try to forget what you usually do in other games. :D And to make things even harder, the engine in the cars wants to stall if you don't use the clutch under heavy braking even if you go to first gear. So the game wants you to use heel-toe/clutch, it's pretty brutal but so rewarding too!

I wish you all the best in your endeavours in RBR! It is a great game!
Leaderboardeilla tavataan! 😎
@@Finns_in_Simland Likewise! 💪(Todellaki, mun nicki siellä on turbo_go_go 😆)
@@Finns_in_Simland I wrote a comment here but it disappeared I think (?), weird!
Mutta joo, mä oon turbo_go_go RBRssä, siellä nähään! 😁
Mullaki välillä häviää vastaukset näkyvistä, mutta muutaman kerran ku päivittää ni tulee taas näkyviin. 🤷🏼♂️ Pistetään nimi mieleen! 😏😂
@@Finns_in_Simland Juu 😆
Driving that car feels like trying to ride a bull
Unfortunately I haven’t tried that so can’t compare the two of them 😂
just change gears earlier and use thw engine in a less powerful state.. the car will settle easier

I know I should but my brain probably turns off because I never remember to do that! 🤦🏼♂️ I really need to learn to do that
